That's why I'm not for this conference champs only bullshite in the playoffs. U really think the big 12 and Pac 12 champs are one of the 4 best? I know ou wins over the sec some but not when it really counts. Texas didn't, Oklahoma didn't. Those conferences champs would b 3rd in the west alone.

Because things are cyclical, this logic is flawed. I remember in my lifetime, the West used to suck and the Big 12 has two divisions...and the North was badass. Things change. When conference title games were started to generate revenue, conferences ran the risk of having their best team shite the bed in the title game and not be the conf. winner.

Kansas' national title was April of 2008.

Florida, who won the national championship for the 2008 season, won the BCS Title Game in January of 2009.

I guess the beakers are graduates of the t.u. school of failed comprehension.

We won the BCSCG. Virginia Tech won the Orange Bowl that season.

Let's examine more closely when/if that has actually happened.

1994: Florida over Alabama. Let's be honest. Alabama would have been destroyed by Nebraska.

1996: t.u. over Nebraska.

2001: LSU over Tennessee.

2003: It's debatable to say that Kansas State was not the best team in the Big 12 that year. Losing to a team by four touchdowns is not a fluke.

2005: Florida State over Virginia Tech, Georgia over LSU

2007: Sorry Missouri, but when you lose to a team twice in the same season, they're clearly better than you

2009: t.u. over Nebraska. There, I said it.

2012: Wisconsin over Nebraska

2017: Ohio State over Wisconsin

I count 6 times between 1992-2017 in which your scenario actually happened.

I also count the following incidents in which the team that did NOT win the conference was put in the national title game/playoff instead of the conference champion that BEAT them:

2001 - Big 12 Champion Colorado 62, Nebraska 26

2003 - Big 12 Champion Kansas State 35, Oklahoma 7

2016 - Big Ten Champion Penn State 24, Ohio State 21

These three lost by a combined score of 81-28

Nebraska played Miami in the Orange Bowl in January of ‘95. Florida and FSU had 5th Quarter in the French Quarter at the end of the ‘94 season. Not sure how Alabama plays Nebraska in your scenario. Plus, 7 of Bama’s 12 wins were within one possession. Give me the Huskers.

Nebraska had the single most dominant player in college football maybe over the last 10 years on that team. Nebraska had that game won 12-10. The official put an additional second back on the clock after the fact.

Auburn beat Georgia by 23 in Auburn and lost by 21 in a neutral location in the same season.

Prior to playing Kansas State, Oklahoma was 11-0, winning all its games by a combined score of 580-158.

They lost their final two games by a score of 56-21.

They were a 3 loss team heading into Arlington.

I mean, they reviewed the throw out of bounds and when it hit there was a second left. I assume your horns envy means you think it was a conspiracy.

You passed the point of homerism to full of shitism with that. While I may applaud and thank you for your service to our country, I didn't think the military kept people with that level of stupid around.

Are you sure? Sounds legit to me, quite unlike "G1260" which could be a fan of any school.
