I think for most fanbases, that reason is pretty silly - given his body of work. I don’t think Arkansas will find the same problems.

Its a rough spot for Kentucky fans and I get it, I guess were more used to it and surprised we came out well.
The writing is on the wall that kentucky isnt as desireable as most think and there is obviously more pressure than most want to take. I think its crazy that Kentucky has the expectations that they do and how they disrespect everyone else. Now they are back to throw money to get Oats. Its insanity.

He left a 33 mil buyout to gtfo of kentucky to a team who didnt make the torunament, the coach bailed and zero roster.
This has to hurt them pretty bad.

He was on the verge of being fired, so he took the easy out. There isn't any shame in that. Most here would do the same.

This is dumb, even if he did get fired we would have reached out among others. He passed up 33 mil to get out of there.

My way of looking at it is it would have been better for Ky to have fired the AD and kept Cal.
I would bet the fact he can’t hire a replacement coach is due to him and not anything Cal has said or done.
