Alabama is 9-2 in those match-ups. The only losses were to Auburn in 2010 and Florida in 2008. The 9 wins were by an average of 19 points.

Bama were 10.5 underdogs to a Florida team without Percy Harvin. You almost have to take that game out of the equation because everybody thought Florida was a vastly superior team. Also, what were the odds for the 2011 GOTC against LSU? I know Bama was favored but I thought it was by less than 5 points.

What about when they were 14 point favorites?

Between 4 & 5.5 most of the week. I think it closed around Bama -5.5

I could have sworn that Alabama was an underdog at Ole Miss in 2014

The suspense is killing me. It all turns on whether (insert nondescript running back here) can run the ball and whether (insert latest names in series of NFL defenders) can stop the run. If they can, I like Bama’s chances.

Spoiler: They can and will.

Bama is on an 0-9 streak vs. 9+ win Auburn teams.

Saban is 0-6 in his career vs. 9+ win Auburn teams.

We haven't been a consensus underdog since the 2009 SECCG. Some books had UGA as a 1 point favorite over Bama in 2015.
