Why would we be begging to get away from a team we've beat 6 of the last 8 times and owned for an eternity?

And by your own metric, that means a&m was doing whatever they could to get away from Texas after 2011, right?

Thanks for the self-own

The aggie shamelessness to dickride any team that can ever beat Texas because they themselves couldn't do it regularly is astounding. You'd think they'd actually be a bit embarrassed by how much they hide behind others while running away from Texas

backlash from other teams within the conference on Georgia and Alabama scheduling

Are you referring to Bama scheduling Texas and Georgia scheduling OU? Why would other programs be mad about that?

Texas & OU were supposed to pay 2 years worth of TV revenue regardless of when they leave.. even if that year was 2025.. so we were gonna have to pay something either way.

The $50 million each was actually a pretty good deal for both teams, even though that is a shite ton of money.

That's weird... your own school newspaper thinks otherwise

You'll recoup that after just 1 season with the $EC disbursement + $ome.

Don’t listen to this moron who started this thread or SI…. It was more about Fox and their shitty 11 am kickoffs which limited recruiting ….. it was about playing more important games and lastly it was about the Big 12 not being able to attract any better teams and the future contract was looking very bad for the big 12.
