Define "sweep" versus "swept"
Posted on 4/15/12 at 4:28 pm to Crow Pie
sweep = present tense
swept = past tense
swept = past tense

Now that is just dumb. Its America's past-time, and its one of the greatest sports there is. Watch the Ken Burns documentary on Baseball, and get back to me, fool.

And your opinion is important, why? Because you don't like baseball, you think everyone else shouldn't? If you don't care about your baseball team, why post in this thread? Are you in dire need of attention?

Because I'm Tha-Mothafrickin-Kaptin. That's why.

Because it's the second most boring sport to watch on the planet, right behind cricket.

But, like I said...It's April 15th, this is about baseball, not football.
Yea that is why Sportscenter is showing college baseball highlights every show. No one in the country other than a few isolated fan bases give a frick about college baseball. If sweeping an Alabama baseball team with a losing record is your response to 21-0, I'm sure the rest of the nation cares.
I wonder if your women's basketball team will sweep us next year too?

That ended in the 1995 strike and subsequent steroids scandal. It will never again be America's pastime. Football and tailgates is the new king.

Everyone hates Roger Goodell for trying to actively preserve the dignity of the game, but he is simply trying to keep the NFL from going in the direction baseball went. When everyone views you as nothing but greedy cheaters, they quit watching. MLB as we know it ended in 1995 due to poor leadership from up top.

And just how did the mighty hogs do vs. KY ?

Baseball is America's past-time. Not specifically MLB. Baseball. College baseball has nothing to do with cheating and greediness in the MLB. BASEBALL IS AMERICA'S PAST-TIME.

16,000+ posts and you claim to not "give a frick" ? Evidence seems to indicate you care VERY MUCH about EVERYTHING bama...OR you're a simple minded dipstick...it's either/or !

Football gets more attendance, support, passion, etc than baseball at every level from high school to college to professionally. Football is America's past-time. Baseball is Latin America's past-time.

And I could care less. So because Sportcenter, which I don't watch, doesn't report it, I or anyone else shouldn't like it? I don't give a rats arse what Sportcenter covers. TV doesn't dictate what I like and don't like. I support ALL LSU sports, not just football. And personally, I hope womens basketball does well next year and sweeps Alabama and everyone else. Just like I hope tennis, track and every other sport at LSU succeeds. I hate to inform you, but me wanting LSU to beat Alabama or anyone else in any sport has no bearing on you beating us. Had LSU won on 1/9, I would still be as passionate about LSU Athletics being successful just as much as LSU losing that game. Is this really that hard for you to understand? If it is, then I really don't give a rats arse. This has nothing to do with 1/9 - 21-0. This is about baseball and we swept. If you want to relate it to 1/9, go right ahead. It just shows your ignorance.

We swept Bama + you swept us + you sweep Bama = LSU is GOAT!!!
am I doing it right?

So I watched it again this morning, and I have to admit, it was really fun to watch. It instantly put me in a good mood, and it really doesn't bother me, personally, that we have split wins with Miles. Not to mention, Alabama's certainly lost games at BDS before, especially in that series. It wasn't that embarrassing to lose by 3 points in overtime. Especially when our team didn't play its best.
It's obvious that most Bama fans define themselves by their football team's success. Especially if a game played 3 months ago , which you didn't play in, makes you FEEL better.
