I'm sure it's a bottom line consideration but as has been noted the 3 games for the 4 team playoff will bring a half billion in revenue. Not sure what the cut is for the actual participating teams but considering UGA is a national competitor it seems well worth the gamble to spend the extra bucks now.

And if you don't learn where to post threads, you will be posting it on tiderinsider or the like. There are rules and consequences here, do you understand that?

Why do you have a sig picture of an illegal chop block by two Alabama offensive lineman that once again was overlooked by the officials?
You might want to brush up on what an illegal chop block is. That block in my sig pic is not at or below the knees. He is hitting him in the side/rib area.

Yeah...Mack Brown was bitching about this. He's pissed that the SEC is starting to branch out into Texas for recruits. Dude is lazy.
Gonna love LSU getting the top 2 players in Texas this year

Evidently not.
But seriously, it is an article that is discussing a "change" in how football programs do business. I figured it would be relevant to the Rant.

He will have several to fire if they overturn these ncaa rules which is not totally out of the realm of possibility. Most schools are taking a wait and see approach which is probably the more prudent thing to do at this stage.
All it means is we will pay more for tickets because of all these new positions.

That may be what the article is bout but your post is #10023 bout how great Saban is. This rant is for discussions bout the SEC. bama fap material has its own special place. Thank gawd.

All this means to me is Saban wants people he can trust to do all the little things he usually does. Dude is getting older and probably tired of 16 hour days.

You're wrong. That is a chop block. The defender is on his way down. That is why it appears he is hitting him in the side/ribs. If a player is blocked in the thighs while engaged high that is a chop block. It doesn't have to be knees or below. The reason a chop block is illegal is because it is dangerous and dirty as frick. You having this as a sig pic is basically saying your O-line plays dirty. Personally, I don't think Bama plays dirty at all. This is a dirty play though. All lineman know a chop block when they see one and ALL lineman consider them dirty/cheap. This is one of them.
Besides all that it's a pathetic picture considering the pics you could've picked. Show a pancake if you feel a blocking picture is necessary. We all know Bama pushes people around on the O-line. No need to show an illegal/dirty play.

A chop block requires one offensive player to initiate contact below the waist while another offensive player has the same defender engaged above the waist. It is considered to be a dangerous play due to the likelihood of increased injury as the defender cannot protect himself.

Not even Close to a chop block. Dude was hit by Steen low and driven back, then hit high by Williams who is lead blocking and placed on his arse. Just a nice one- two combo and completely legal.

Peterson didn't pick that ball either did he?
Posted on 2/28/13 at 3:44 pm to KurtGoBang1
It looked like Peterson picked it to me but that doesn't change the fact that this was a completely legal block and you just want to argue for the sake of arguing.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Steen isn't hitting him in the thighs or anywhere else around the legs. Steen's shoulder pad is firmly in the defender's side. It is a legit block.

54 is a RB not a lineman
