Interesting that UF and LSU have the same amount.

The fact that UGA has so much more than the group below just points to when they've been good. For a lot of history, teams played 10 or 11 regular season games and a bowl, so 12 was the max. Getting 11 was super impressive then. Hell, LSU in 2003 went 12-1, with a conference championship added in... so 11 was either an undefeated, or 1-loss season.
Now, you can get to 11 wins with a 10-2 regular season and a bowl. That's good, but not elite.
