They don't seem to realize the difference in an EMERGENCY TRYOUT and a regular, fun, everyone laughs tryout

That ATL guy was at tryouts and got tattooed iirc.

Surprised they let late stage diabetes “victims” give it a go but I guess they are super desperate

Ehhh, not your best attempt Willy

Every program holds walk-on tryouts. Been that way for decades

But not emergency tryouts. That is what this was. Notice the alarms on the original X Post. There is a sense of urgency imho.

You don't have to explain it to me man, I'm walking on at Alabama as a CB this coming season. I'm in mediocre shape, average height, and a white dude in his 30s but I had some eligibility left and Coach "travel ball" Kalen made me feel at home.

Quit being a hater because you couldn't make it with the rest of us walking on as a punter

You got roasted at least 3 times. I was the one throwing to the receivers. Sorry but NO chance you're making it bud

My final scrimmage line was 20-27, 350 total yards, 6 TDs

Coach DeBoner really liked my stuff.

This is a stupid post even for a Louisianan.

I’m just afraid some of those Alabama kids are going to make the team and get their tooth knocked out when they play against an SEC team.

All the italics and bold type in the world won’t change the fact that this was announced on the 9th (the day after the natty), prior to Saban’s retirement as I said

But go off, kid lol

I'm sure someone had a stopwatch at the running of the gumps.

Good point HighTide.

It does seem like this was Saban’s doing.

Perhaps he knew what his exit would mean (mass exodus and all out chaos) so he arranged this emergency tryout to help.

Interesting.

I hadn’t considered it but you may be on to something. TIA for pointing it out
