Was there ever a reason given?

A team that already traveled 2200 miles or so with a holiday monday and no nfl schedule to compete with, seems like a good opportunity to get it in

Just curious, Thanks and ill hang up and listen

That might have been too soon to get the support infrastructure back in place in terms of police, stadium personnel, buses, etc. etc. Thats all I can figure, but I think the SEC and each University should have some sort of reaction plan if this kind of thing occurs again (if they dont already.)

All three of those could be rescheduled (for they right price).... and TV is a terrible excuse. Just play the game without TV coverage.

My young lad, do you ask a dolphin how it swims? No
Or a eagle how it flies? No
That's right, you don't, because that's what they were made to do

The 1st 2 could just be pushed back and the SEC Network I'm sure would be willing to show the game.

You have to live in the real world. In the real world rescheduling takes authorization from the appropriate decision makers. There is no way to do that on such short notice.
