Drink with a strong class - a very strong class by historical Missouri standards - that feels like it's moderately going under the radar. Congrats on the strong finish gentlemen.

Drink is the biggest weirdo in the SEC. I will never understand why anyone would want to play for that dork.

Doesn’t Mizzou have a lot of money with alumni? It would not shock me to see the begin creeping up the rankings over the next few years.

I think most non MU fans would agree that he comes off a little strange - Which is even more of a testament to the job he did getting a bunch of these kids to come play for him.

Apparently Cuonzo is the reason they got that 5* WR. He coached that kid's dad. Plus Zo's sister is the principal at East, St. Louis HS. Despite some of their fans hopes, they may never be able to fire him.

In all seriousness, this is a great class for them. Drink working hard!

Some sports/finance article ranked Missouri #1 in NIL money. No clue how that was figured, and was really shocked to see that.

wut? I'd think your class would be even better if this were the case. I don't think anyone is touching what the the Texas schools (all of them) are doing.

Regardless, Mizzou has put together a great class.

Mizzou wasn't going to get this top class without NIL! That is why the NIL helped Mizzou get that high recruiting class. Wouldn't that make sense to you how much of a leap Mizzou went from 30s-40s to top 20 recruiting class.

Probably the same reason your AD wanted to hire him before he turned you down

Hoping a fellow mizzou member posts a link to it because I never read in to it more than just seeing we had the top spot, but now that we’re talking about it id like to read into it. It was posted on our board a few months back

Probably a good thing as he looks to be a sub-par coach on the field.

I don't remember the details but I remember Drink in an interview said something about the Missouri legislature passed some law that helps with NIL.

How so?

His results have been directly in line or slightly above with the roster he was left.

When he was left a good roster he went 11-1.

Looks like he’s building a good roster again. Sorry

Definitely. I don't doubt you but I'd like to see it. It would be interesting to know how all that is gonkulated (technical term). I think the real NIL story is coming out of Texas not just TAMU and UTa but some of their smaller schools as well. NIL is being used in the portal and to keep players around.

I believe it was that the Missouri legislation was considered #1 in the country for setting up NIL possibilities. Not actual cash value.

Nonetheless, no one has recruited this State in living memory like Drink has. As to his personality, he gears it to what the kids like. In living rooms, locker rooms and on the field no one else matters. My Booster Boss simply describes him as "intelligent, intense, driven.".

It's a good class for a coach who is .500 after 2 seasons.

I'm not impressed with his coaching ability, but his recruiting acumen looks good.

Mizzou have a similar roster to Vandy and how do you expect him to beat any SEC teams that have much better talents on the roster? You really thionk Mizzou roster is that good to beat Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia and others. He is in need to get much better players that are good enough to compete in the SEC. It will take more than this recruiting class to compete against the SEC. Probably need another recruiting class or two to fill up the missing gaps. Like having good backups and depth. He is building the football program the right way. Might take a couple more years to set the foundation. It will be well worth it!
