I down voted. Not from lack of effort, but for public perception risk management skills.

Let me elaborate.
Auburn University, the current SEC. Champion is feared and despised by all for different reasons.
The privileged state schools (bammer, uga, uf, lsu) hate us because we are their equal and more. They don't understand how a small farming school could rise to power without all the built in political advantages in place.
2. The poorer unprivileged schools (miss state, texas a&m) hate us because we ACCOMPLISH what they only dream of doing. We ruin all the excuses that they want to give their fanbase about why they cannot compete.
3. The historical powers (vandy, ole miss, arkansas) hate us because we took what they used to have and made it ours and made it better.
Bottom line, Auburn has accomplished more on the field (with the odds stacked against us) than any program in college football history.
It is GREAT to be an Auburn tiger!

Just during the offseason. It would reflect the level of shitty threads appropriately.

Historically, vandy and ole miss had a good start.
Historically, a&m was a land grant institution and was poor like Auburn. Now a&m is a very wealthy program but still lacks the success of Auburn.
I am posting facts, you guys are just assuming I am trolling when I am not.
SEC Champs!

Please don't allow anyone to start a thread without at least 1,000 posts, this absurd.

Alabama:
Football - Elite (#1 program since 2009)
Basketball - major slump but historically sh##s all over Auburn's program. More than twice the number of tourney appearances and Sweet 16s. Top 35 all time wins and winning % nationally.
Baseball - most wins all time among SEC schools. Tied for most SEC regular season titles. 2nd in tourney titles. Trails only LSU, Mississippi State, and South Carolina historically.
Softball - Elite. 9 WCW appearances with SEC's only national title.
Women's Gymnastics - Legendary. Georgia and Alabama have absolutely dominated the SEC and the National scene.
Men's Golf - A current dynasty. 2 national championships and a runner up. By far the best SEC program currently. Trails only Florida and Georgia (and maybe LSU) historically.
Women's golf - Has been a top 5 to 10 program for a few years now with a recent national championship.
Women's tennis - currently a Top 20 program.
Auburn:
Football - Elite. I'll say elite because despite a couple of completely forgettable seasons the program has had a very strong 4 year run. The future is bright.
Men's basketball - A complete dumpster fire. Historically, the only two decent runs in program history (mid to late 80s and 1999 to 2001) were quickly followed by NCAA probation due to cheating. Program can't hold Alabama's jockstrap. Having said all that and in all fairness, they made an incredible hire getting Pearl. If Pearl doesn't make them a forace they should just give up because they will never do anything as a program.
Baseball - Not great historically but had a better program than Alabama throughout most of the 70s, 80s, and early 90s. Since then and overall, Alabama has had a much better program. More NCAA appearances, trips to Omaha, SEC titles, SEC tourney titles, and all time wins.
Softball - An afterthought program that has done nothing of significance. They pretend to not give a s### about the sport but their excitement over hiring a big time coach argues otherwise. Softball would become the 2nd most important sport on earth to their fans (just like men's basketball conveniently and out of nowhere was in 2000) if they became really good. Yet another of many sports that they will always be a redheaded step child in to Alabama during their lifetimes
Men's Golf - Like baseball, there was a period of time in the 80s and 90s when Auburn had a better than Alabama. They didn't do anything of real significance during that time though. Like softball, they are an afterthought compared to Alabama. They have a Dufner as a prominent alum on the PGA Tour but they even fall short of Alabama there as Bama has more regular PGA Tour members.
Women's Golf - FINALLY we get to a sport that Auburn is historically better than Alabama although recently Alabama has become a better program.
Women's Gymnastics - Auburn is 0 for their last 106 matches against Alabama. Program is slightly better recently but honestly this is like comparing Auburn basketball to Kentucky basketball.
Swimming and Diving - Finally we get to Auburn's one dominant program on both the men's and women's side. Alabama can't compete in this sport that literally the only time the general public is exposed to it is every 4 years during the Olympics. People literally pay zero attention to it the 3 years and 11 months between the Olympics.
