No - portable stands at the Hoover Met. They have an RV park.

The stadium is downtown. Omni, Doubletree, Courtyard, Hilton, Hyatt Place, Sheraton Grand, and JW Mariott are all in walking distence, among others.

And the only things between those hotels and the stadium are a sea of bars, restaurants, and live music venues and a river with a pedestrian that takes you right to the stadium.

Assuming youre capable of walking for 30 minutes without spilling your fat rolls over the sides of a rascal scooter, that's about a good of a setup as anyone could ask for.

SECCG isn’t a vacation. It is usually a last minute overnight trip for most.

Right, because Atlanta sucks, and there's no point to go except for the game itself. You're starting to see the problem.

We could change that by moving to a city that doesn't suck for a weekend trip.

Atlanta is more friendly... Nobody can tell you where you got your shoes in Nashville.

It's a big city, but it's a boring generic big city. People go there for work, not vacation.

Must be why it’s one of the fastest growing cities and why the airport is the busiest in the world. Just admit you have never been to Atlanta aside from maybe the airport

That setup alone makes for a better trip than anything in Atlanta.

Because Atlanta doesn’t have bars or live music, good lord you’re dumb

I go to Atlanta regularly for work. It's a perfectly nice city, and great thriving economic center. You're right about that.

But it's not a vacation destination. It's basically a carbon copy of Dallas, where I live, as both have exploded over the last 30 years. Dallas is fine, but it isn't a place to go on vacation either. A great job market and a lot of business travelers doesn't do anything to make for a fun weekend. It's ok to admit that every city isn't great at everything.

I admire the defense of your city. But I have been to Atlanta probably 30 times in my life, for work and both Mizzou SECCG appearances.

Only north Atlanta (Alpharetta and such) is worth going out in- and that is an Uber ride away from the stadium- not walking distance, like it would be in Nashville. There just isn’t a good entertainment district in downtown ATL.

Hate on Atlanta all you want but it's not gonna move because it is the best logistically.

Nashville and Nola I get what idiot really thinks the SEC Championship should be played in Dallas or Houston? The Game is not going to the backwater of the SEC so you 2nd tier schools settle down.

I’d like to see a five year rotation:

YES = Atlanta (keeps the ACC out)
MAYBE = Nashville (if the ACC folds and SEC HQ moves to Nashville)
NO = New Orleans (not the same as it was a decade or two ago)
NO WAY IN HELL = Dallas / Houston (this is the SEC not the SWC)
NO WAY IN HELL = South Florida is Yankee, not Southern

B1G does not move the CCG around
ACC just move it between NC and FL
B12 (old) moved it around
B12 (current) play in JerryWorld
PAC (old) moved it around
PAC (current) Las Vegas

Dallas and Houston are just as bad as Atlanta for a weekend trip.

Dallas could be a good destination, but Jerry Jones built the stadium way out in shite arse dumpy declining suburbia Arlington.

I could see an SEC basketball tournament in Dallas though, AAC is right in the heart of Uptown. Great walkable location with tons of hotels, bars, and restaurants. Still no real touristy things to do though.

I applaud your lobbying for it to stay in Georgia. I perfectly understand and I would do the same. But please, your counterpoints are getting ridiculous.
