Charge a team a timeout after a certain number of stoppages. That will shut it down.

Don’t see how you can do it but thought it appropriate that an Awb was the first to respond saying it is a bad idea.

The only thing you could do is make them sit out the rest of that series IMO.

Every play is reviewable.... when/if a play is reviewed it can easily be deciphered if a player is faking, or is pushed down by his own teammates.

If a player stops the clock because of an injury he should not be allowed to return until the ball changes hands to the other team. That just might slow down your so-called fake injuries.

Part of the problem I haven't seen brought up is these players will often times lay down in "pain" over the slightest of injuries. I saw a guy last night that looked like a hand or wrist injury and instead of taking himself out of the game he lays down on the field. No doubt that's what these kids are taught to do.
Then of course you have the dramatic guys who act like they have a career ending injuries only to come sprinting back out on the field a minute later.
It's a completely different culture these days. I agree with the masses...it's getting to the point where there is going to have to be some sort of penalty for "injuries"
Injured and have to stop the game? Cool...have a seat on the bench for the next running 7 minutes of the game to make sure you are OK.
All this said isn't even scratching the surface of the intentional cheating "injuries" schools like Auburn has employed in the past. Im all for taking advantage and winning at all costs but a lot of this is straight chicken s*** stuff.

What do you mean by faking injury? The ones sitting out for the NFL? Because they’re already gone.

Again, I say the answer for that is- treat it as though it is legit... if a player collapses while just standing around in between plays, out for the game. It could be a cardiac issue, or it could be a seizure. Either way, it's not related to contact, so if he just randomly drops, he's out.

What happens if they really have a cramp and need attention? Cramps don’t take that long to get rid of (1-2 plays) so why would you risk kicking them out. Just make it that a player out with ANY injury cannot come back until change of possession.

Making it to where injured players have to sit out the rest of the drive / or quarter is about the only to stop it.
So if a QB gets the wind knocked out of him and has to go out for a play he has to sit out for an entire drive? Or are you proposing this only be applied to defensive players, in which case the same question applies to a star MLB.
That would be a fricking disaster.

^this.
Basically everybody does it.
It’s annoying.
It does not add to the game.
Now IF a sniper attack occurs like happened to Anthony Swain, then it should never be a penalty.

Treat that the way it's always been.
I'm talking about the guys who randomly drop over, like in the pictures I posted.
Hey, I'm old enough to remember Hank Gathers and Reggie Lewis, two basketball players who fell over and died on the court. They are the reason you do this- it's entirely possible that a football player, just like a basketball player, can have a cardiac issue. You're just standing and fall out, you need to be yanked off the field and examined immediately in the hospital. If that embarrasses you and seems like overkill, then don't fall like you got shot.
Some day, a guy will drop over, fans will boo the 'obvious' fake, and that guy will be dead. It WILL happen, only a matter of time before it does.

Have you not watched any Florida/Auburn/aTm games this year?

We should have an official review whereas a Doctor comes out onto the field. Portable Xray machine must be available.
