Should Tennessee let Hoke coach another season as interim and try again next year?

Kinda like Arkansas did with John L. Smith?

This is getting ridiculous.

Yes
And not because of that idiot Smith
But because it will give them more time to find a real coach.

The Tennessee Mob won’t allow it. They’re in charge now, Currie is just a figure head.

At this point yes. They're down to scraping the bottom of the barrel just for the sake of making a hire. Hoke was moderately successful as a head coach, knows the Vols, team knows him etc.

They're down to the remnants of available coaching hires. Give the job to Hoke, reset the search and take your pick of next year's candidates once the toxicity of the current situation has simmered.

Goodbye recruiting class if that happens. How do you commit to a guy that you know won't be there after this year?

It's gonna take a hit after this shite show regardless. What hurts recruiting worse? Hiring a shitty coach out of desperation after 36 others turned them down or having a year of an interim coach in order to open up a better crop of candidates next year?
