It was obvious that SMU and Indiana weren’t one of the best 12 teams in the country but everyone kept saying that they deserved to be there

Nobody knows what 12 teams are "best", that's why we PLAY IT OFF; PLAYOFF

"best" or "most deserving" is just splitting hairs

Lets get the actual autobids proposed by Sankey/Big 10

3 Big 10
3 SEC
2 ACC
2 Big XII
1 G5

That leaves 3 at-large

This will eliminate most of the pressure of the committee, and give a clear defined road to the playoff

Standings will be more useful than retarded "rankings". All other sports use STANDINGS

Wins and losses have to matter.

At the end of the day it really is this.

Everyone can easily argue Bama had a lot of talented players (more than most) but shite the bed way more than they should have. You can't have that and expect to get in. Really not fair to the other teams who win.

But they do need to make sure these leagues have more parity between themselves if you're going to approach it that way.

I'd like to see a super 32 team conference with two more 32 team conference tiers allowing for relegation. I think that would be best. But we'll never see it and CFB will continue to get worse and worse.

But most people can easily pick the 4 that have a realistic shot at winning it all. After 6 it gets watered down. There aren't 12 teams in the nation on the same level.

You may have 4 some years, but even when we had 4 teams were getting blown out.
