Should Lane be more like coach Bryant?

when it comes to self protection?
Because Yellow Jacket fans had previously targeted him by throwing objects—including whiskey bottles—Bryant borrowed a helmet to protect his head as he walked across the field to the locker room at halftime.

It amazes me when fans do something in 2020 to now the media acts likes it’s never happened before. Wasn’t ole miss banned from ABC because of an incident? People make it out like fights, throwing stuff, field storming wasn’t a problem in the 50s 60s 70s etc.

Players were hurt much worse back in the day. Football was a brutal sport.

I'd be shocked if an Ole Miss fan really tried to physically hurt Lane.
Even Tennessee fans, and they're by far the worst most ignorant of all the fanbases, only threw a mustard bottle at coach Kiffin.
......or did he catch a golf ball also?

but the fans may act crazy to one another after the game......
Could be some quality fights. Hopefully it will just be the girls fighting. They are very passionate and the most fun to watch.

True, but the build up and execution used to have more pageantry. Now, these lazy kids are just haf-assing it at Sonic with zero choreography. Damn shame

Do they still make Chesterfields?

that’s what started the infamous Hose ‘Em game between Georgia and Auburn in ‘86.
Georgia fans in the end zone, section 40 to be precise, wanted to storm the field to secure pieces of turf in retaliation for Auburn fans grabbing pieces of their hedges in Athens the year before. Turf that the Auburn agronomy staff had spent the entire offseason renewing as part stadium renovations.
When security started to surge to prevent them from entering the field, the trash and liquor bottles started raining into the end zone. That’s when AU’s new water cannons were loosed on unruly Georgia fans …. first in the bleacher, then on the field.
I was standing less than 15 yards from the commotion….. and trust me, nothing stinks like a wet Leghumper.

What started the incident was UGA whipping Auburn's arse. That was the root cause, any and everything beyond that was a contributing cause.

He ought to be more like Bryant in having a more respectable winning % as a head coach. As it is he is more like James Franklin.....
