The way you spaced your post made me read it like a poem

Kiffin has been pretty clear that they're not going to violate SEC rules. Not sure why people just keep assuming they have/will.
Because he told us about his team vote where the players were in favor of violating SEC rules.

The goal was to only bring in the players if they can do it within SEC rules, that remains the case.

Why do you all on this board continue to post things that aren't true? Yes, they had a team vote to add those players if it is deemed they are eligible to play. In no way whatsoever did he say the team voted to violate SEC rules.

I think it will be more along the lines of just not playing them

Yep. The entire conference is up in arms, all other 15 schools, and the SEC office… just don’t understand it correctly.
They think schools should follow the rules as were agreed to and voted on.
LSU tells the world that if a judge to tells them they don’t have to follow the rules, they want everyone to know they have a hall pass to ignore the rule.

Meanwhile, LSU has continually said they'll follow conference rules.
It seems the only way they'd play the players is if the rules are determined to be illegal themselves.

Lane Kiffin will use every loophole he can to get his way. SEC is tired of the legal posturing. But that is Lane Kiffin. He just does whatever he wants …

You are the one who stated, incorrectly, that Kiffin said the team voted to violate SEC Rules which they have not. Just pointing that out. I do understand that doesn't fit the collective narrative of this board though.

I just don’t think this will all be settled today in Baton Rouge.

Probably not, so LSU would at least have to be assured that they will receive no punishment.
The legal experts here say that isn't possible, so it appears they won't play for the time being.
Not sure why everyone is jumping to conclusions when all of the messaging has been consistent.

Set aside this board. It doesn’t exist.

How can LSU receive an assurance like that from the conference?
Lane will say, “they said it’s ok”.
Sankey will say, “who said that, because we didn’t”.

Such as the NCAA saying a certain QB has run out of eligibility and a MS judge issues a recant?
Those rules?
What part of the SEC screwed this up because of ONE class, 2022.

It would have to be from the conference, or some type of legal protection.

No way they take that kind of risk. Do people actually believe LSU is going to risk the penalties listed for a couple of reserve players?

I would not think that legal protection from Baton Rouge today is enough long term assurance.
