It's the same everywhere I've ever self checked out. It's basically impossible for you to not know the scanner isn't scanning because you still have to pay for something.

The people prior to it had no issue? The people after had no issue? What actually happened? It sounds like they went through the motions to pretend like they were checking out, and then walked out without paying.

Corrupt as frick. I don't care about it in terms of Georgia players, I think suspending players and such is generally stupid anyway. But if my local police were this corrupt I'd be unhappy.

The funniest part about all of UGA's legal issues is your fans thinking certain local media members have it out for you just because they report on this stuff

We know players don’t go to Georgia to become a better person. It’s ok. They have a good football team. Truth.

Ever had your barcode scanner just quit on you? It's a common complaint we hear from shop owners: a headache when their scanner stops scanning or only works partially. This guide covers the usual suspects and how to fix them fast, so you can get back to serving customers without the drama.

We'll start with the easy stuff.

A dirty scanner window is a common problem, often caused by people placing their fingers on the scanner window. Get out of that habit. Also, dust or grime can cause reading issues. To clean, unplug the scanner and wipe the glass with a soft microcloth.

It wont happen here because of the high profile of the individuals (should though) but this is why retailers do not aggressively pursue shop lifting....it all too often is the result of a dumb arse jumping to conclusions and a settlement for the wrongfully accused far more expensive than the items in question. My wife was a Wal Mart Store Manager in the early 90's and they told their employees then to ignore shoplifting because it simply wasn't worth the effort. That 30 years ago....it isn't a new thing. The pricing includes loss, its a fools game to risk litigation over something that is already accounted for.

How did the ACC PD get involved? The people from that organization who were involved in arresting these 2 should be fired and banned from ever serving in a similar capacity anywhere in the US....including an prosecutor and PD office employees. This could easily have cost these 2 young men millions depending on the draft stock....and it could cost someoone without 2 nickels to run together to lose their job and their homes and all manner of ill shite....

Yeah I’m not doubting him, I think he’s been around a long time and is solid, but would feel better if I could see further confirmation.

Thankful these wrongfully accused young men have been cleared and will have the unparalleled role model of Kirby in their lives for the next 3-4 years to further mold them into great citizens.

I wonder how many people are going to keep taking shots at Texas when they see my avatar. Those who have paid attention to even a few of my 8700+ posts know I’m no Longhorn fan.

P.S. You misspelled “loses.”

Doesn’t look like confirmation of dropped charges have made it to mainstream media but word is that’s where this is going among people far more connected than me. I believe Rusty (IIRC) has already commented that neither player would be missing any time.

As for details of the incident, Marc Weiszer has those:
