If a friggin' oddsmaker has sources inside the NCAA leaking him info, that's a bigger story than Cam Newton

Sheridan never said that his source was "inside the NCAA".

What about you? Are you for giving coaches a free pass when they clearly had to know what was going on?
So funny when people make statements like that but if I were to ask what it was that the coaches "clearly" knew, they wouldn't have an answer.
So I'm asking, specifically, what did the AU coaches "clearly" know?
Well, to start with, Trooper Taylor no doubt knows all of the same types of things that he did a few years ago when every barner I know thought he was crooked when he was at UT.

He is employed by CBS Sports so he does have at least that going for him. He is also the only member of the national press that I have seen even comment on Sheridan's claims. Doesn't mean it isn't true but jess sayin.

Sheridan is also a member of the national press as well.

It`s hard to use paragraphs when you`re cell phone doesn`t allow it. No matter how many times I hit the enter button on my cell phone it won`t space sentences.
Regardless of that, I see you conveniently ignored ny post. Why is it so frickin hard for an Auburn fan to admit that you`re nervous about all the media and NCAA scrutiny you`ve received this offseason? Alabama, and every other rationale fanbase in America would be s####### themselves if they were in Auburn`s position. If you guys weren`t so self righteous/disingenuous you may garner some sympathy from rivals.

Because since day one of the Cam Newton allegations, our beat writers and insiders have told us we have nothing to worry about.
And since that day, not one shred of concrete evidence has emerged linking Auburn in a pay for play scheme with Cam Newton.
Sorry we don't just buy into Danny Sheridan's "secret super secret always secret sources" story.

It seems like everybody is mad AU fans aren't about to go jump off of a bridge. We've been hearing this for 9 months. Im immune to all of it now, Im at the point people need to either put up or STFU.
We've been hearing for the last 9 months we've paid Cam and absolutely zilch has come out to even suggest the Newtons all of a sudden got a lot of money.

I have seen LSU fans respond to some of the latest news in the same manner. I am not going to let MB's or blogs upset me. Now that doesn't mean I won't respond or refute posts made.
Bottom line I will wait for actual news from the NCAA. Does that mean other news sources are out to get us? No, but if the NCAA says we did something and send a NOA followed by penalties than I will deal with it at that time.
Why do you get so bothered by a fan base that doesn't react the way you think they should?

I can understand that but Auburn fans seem to have a Jim Jones follower level of trust and belief in anyone and everyone associated with Auburn like Jonestown had in Jim Jones. I`ve never seen a fanbase go through so much public scrutiny and to a person believe even the insinuation of impropriety is impossible. As a fanbase you guys to a person seem to have the uncanny ability to totally ignore your past and think you are morally incapable of breaking NCAA rules. I personally would be a nervous wreck if the allegations against auburn this offseason were being made against Alabama. My point is that most fanbases live in the real world when it comes to NCAA rules breaking in college athletics and some Auburn fans still thin auburn is simply incapable of rules breaking because of the Auburn Creed

Sheridan says he's heard the NCAA is alleging that they may have found the booster who bought Cam, but they need him to come forward to get a slam dunk case.
Then he kind of retracted it and said the NCAA has a theory of who the person may be that possibly bought Cam, but they're trying to find more concrete evidence.
Then he said Auburn should win 9 games or else Chizik sucks, and then he said Auburn is an underdog in 7 games this year.
The rest of the thread is debates about Sheridan's status as a legit reporter, the credibility of a gambler in terms of reporting news, Gregg Doyle telling Sheridan to put up or shut up, and a few AU fans explaining why we aren't nervous.

A Bammer got on Finebaum and said something bammers have been saying for 8 months "I know somebody who works in the NCAA and they said Auburn is going down"
Of course, bama fans acting like he's dropping a bombshell and wondering why we aren't going to slit our wrists.
