What about you? Are you for giving coaches a free pass when they clearly had to know what was going on?
So funny when people make statements like that but if I were to ask what it was that the coaches "clearly" knew, they wouldn't have an answer.
So I'm asking, specifically, what did the AU coaches "clearly" know?

Only read the first and last page of the thread, did I miss anything?
Your statements on NCAA and the gambling community are incredibly naive. Decision makers in the sports gambling community are very well connected, always have been always will be. Of course NCAA will not release a statement saying as much, naturally.
Your comment on wanting no ties to gambling is also inaccurate. Are you familiar with the Las Vegas bowl? An NCAA sanctioned game that is played in Las Vegas. Partially sponsored by gambling establishments. What about the WAC bball tourney, etc. etc. ?

That being said an organization like the NCAA, who ran a football coach out of town for betting on the March Madness bracket does not want to be tied to a well known sports odds maker.

People talked about stuff...people disagreed with stuff...nothing was solved or proven.
Just another thread about Auburn via F-baum show.

Yeah you missed the context of what I was discussing with another poster.. If you are curious to know what we were talking about, then go back and the read the whole conversation

And this is why you have zero credibility. I don't know if Sheridan's info is legit or not, but the best description of "who Danny Sheridan is" is not "Bammer" but a pretty credible sports analyst and handicapper. You have been flailing around this entire thread trying to attack the messenger, which really says more about your own fear than anything about the situation. Sheridan makes a living talking and writing about sports. You are a bad message board poster. He might damage his reputation if he gives out bad info. You have a shite reputation, even by the standards of an anonymous Internet message board.
If you weren't worried about what he said, you wouldnt be so desperate to trash Sheridan.
Well, that pretty much sums it up.

I disagree with your statement about CFBFAN1121. Sure he/she can be a pain and at times bring the heat but CFBFAN1121 is not what you wrote. He/she is a loyal fan of a fellow SEC member who is as passionate as the rest of us about our SEC team of choice.
I think the term you're looking for is "rabid homer".

If a friggin' oddsmaker has sources inside the NCAA leaking him info, that's a bigger story than Cam Newton

I would be extremely concerned that Sheridan of all people is the one dropping the most serious and specific charges yet regarding the Cam situation. Despite the posters that have tried to question his credibilty, he IS credible when he does speak. It`s extremely rare for him to publicly go out on a limb regarding such a high profile NCAA investigation. In fact, he rarely comments on off the field matters despite the BS insinuations by some that he made predictions regarding Alabama`s eventual sanctions in the Means case. I`m actually shocked that someone so close to the vest as Sheridan is making the comments he`s making. He`s either lost his mind or he has an NCAA source feeding him information that he is extremely confident in. The one saving grace for Auburn is that unlike the Alabama/Means case the Cam situation itself isn`t the subject of a crime that the Feds are pursuing. If the FBI brought RICO charges against an Auburn booster. like they did Means in the LY case, Auburn would be officialy screwed. As it stands now, Auburn has a decent chance of skating the charge. The problem is that the NCAA will nail Auburn for ANYTHING they can find at this point
