Muschamp, who is Georgia's special teams coordinator and will be co-defensive coordinator next season, once joked about Smart's interview at Valdosta State.
"He put 12 guys up on the board," Muschamp said. "I thought we were going to be pretty good on defense if he could figure out how to get 12 guys on the field."
Smart still got the job,
He's gonna need to get #12 on the field to have any chance in this one

They even copied the same dimensions of the trophy case and trophy designs to fill it.
Oh shite. Wait a minute.
Did they put up paper pictures of the trophies?

quote:Beamer also said they changed things in year 2 and that changes have been made in the years since. Kirby set the model and then adapted it to his way of doing things...so far...so good. You can't totally duplicate things because you are going to be you....and not the person you are trying to emulate.
That's why we hired him, dumbass.

You know saban didn't win a Natty in his first 5 years as a head coach either, right?
Saban also didn't start at a resource-rich school like Georgia. Everything Smart needed to win a national championship was already there in Athens waiting for him.

Smart walked into a wholly better situation when he took the Georgia job than Saban did when he took the Alabama job. Georgia was coming off a 10-win season and had a fairly talented roster of players coming back. Saban walked into a program that had gone a combined 46-40 in the seven seasons preceding his arrival. The only reason why the Alabama job is so attractive now is because Saban made it attractive.

Smart decision by Kirby. Why would you not take what you have learned from the GOAT and implement it into your program. He would have been dumb if he didn't. Difference between Kirby and many other Saban assistants is that Kirby has been very successful implementing it while others, for whatever reason, weren't. I think it's because Kirby is cut from the same cloth as Saban. He has that killer instinct.

Why is this funny? Are you some kind of special retarded? It only makes sense for these coaches to use the same methods they learned while working for Saban. Would it shock you that Saban is using a lot of the same stuff he did at LSU since he has been at Alabama. Of course now that was 17 years ago and he has added on to it, tweaked some of it and adjusted things he used at LSU to fit at Alabama and I am sure these coaches are doing the same thing. Take a plan and adjust it on the fly to fit what is different at USC, Georgia and Florida.

TiptonSC taught TailbackU everything TailbackU knows but TailbackU doesn’t know everything TiptonSC knows.
