thought the flag on the Pick-6 QB block was soft AF.
Blind side blocks are against the rules, and especially noticeable against a qb.

But It wasn't a blindside block per the rules nor was it flagged as a blindside block.

Lonnie .... I got a bigger boat for ya all fueled up and ready to go at Ripley Point - appears you gonna need it -
all these Louisiana State U fans will never understand you are mocking them - they're far too obtuse - but it's fkn hilarious!
Considering where I actually went to school my level of resolve and pettiness knows no bounds. When I was in school I wanted to fly Helicopters or go into PSYOPs. I was BORN for these types of shenanigans...
I'll probably be on to something else by late Oct - Early November tho...

I laugh at supposedly "agitating " statements like yours. You gotta come with stronger gear than that man...

Good for you. It was a dumb hit, and your guy knew it as soon as he did it.

Prepare to be rationalized by the SEC office. Mental gymnastic that would have won gold in Paris.

I wonder if Beamer sent in the blocked punt in which his player launched himself over the top of the LSU protection?
Losers complain about refs. LSU was down 17-0. South Carolina only has themselves to blame.

Fully and completely. I might be hard headed and persistent, but I'm not an idiot (contrary to the popular belief of LSU fans).
But here is why you do this. The SEC refs can't miss a call against SC the rest of the year without enduring ANOTHER firestorm from the fans.

No, but Kelly did. Hummm.....

Losers complain about refs.
AND this one has been covered and debunked already, multiple times.
Here is the text of the rule.
quote:
Leverage and Leaping
ARTICLE 11
a No defensive player, in an attempt to gain an advantage, may step, jump or stand on an opponent
b It is a foul if a defensive player moves forward and tries to block a kick or apparent kick on a field goal or try by leaving their feet and leaping into the plane directly above the frame of the body of an opponent It is not a foul if the player was aligned in a stationary position within one yard of the line of scrimmage when the ball was snapped
c It is a foul if a defensive player who is inside the tackle box tries to block a punt or an apparent punt by leaving their feet and leaping into the plane directly above the frame of the body of an opponent
1 It is not a foul if the player tries to block the punt by jumping straight up without attempting to leap over the opponent
2 It is not a foul if a player leaps through or over the gap between players
]d No defensive player, in an attempt to block, bat or catch a kick or apparent kick, may:
1 Step, jump or stand on a teammate
2 Place a hand(s) on a teammate to get leverage for additional height
3 Be picked up by a teammate, or be elevated, propelled or pushed
Not the best framing, but the player is clearly in the gap and the LSU player moves over to "block" him.
Here's the video.
Just because your coach or fanbase doesn't understand the rule, doesn't make it illegal. To be fair to your coach, I'm not sure he could see the player was in the gap when he made his ridiculous comment.

They sure were complaining during the game about the refs

Are you kidding? You KNOW I do...
Blocking the QB isn't illegal per the 2024 rule book. In fact, this exact scenario is described as being legal.
quote:
Blind-Side Block—ARTICLE 18 Approved Ruling 9-1-18
B44 intercepts the pass of A12 at the B-20 and turns back up-field on the return
During the return, B21 approaches A88 at midfield from the blind side and blocks A88
(a) with extended hands;
(b) with a screen type block;
(c) by attacking with forcible contact with his shoulder into the chest of A88;
(d) by attacking with forcible contact with the shoulder into the head of A88 B44 returns the pass to the A-20
RULING:
(a) No foul
(b) No foul
(c) Personal Foul, blind-side block, 15-yard penalty from the spot of the foul
(d) Personal Foul, Blind-Side Block with Targeting, 15-yard penalty from the spot of the foul and B21 is disqualified
Emphasis added.

Disagree. See my post during the game Saturday:

Such a weak post. LSU fans are fricking losers. An unranked USC team with a backup QB that ain’t even trying to throw the ball is wrecking shop and you’re in here bitching about holding calls. Pathetic.
It’s pathetic when LSU fans bitch about the refs.
It’s pathetic when USC fans complain. Especially whenUSC was up 17-0 and gagged away the game.

They were HORRIFIC.
South Carolina got screwed more than we did, but we both got screwed. And aside from the screwing, they were just disorganized and poor communicators. And they got the jersey numbers wrong maybe 10 times.
