Decent doc on Tee Martin and that 1998 season.

Sad how the Bama and AUB fans were threatening Tee Martin because he didn't choose to play in AL. SMH

Every champ needs a little luck but damn you Dolls had a lot of breaks go your way that season.

1. Syracuse - That was not PI.

2. UF - OT game won after our kicker misses a short FG. We owned your asses so I can understand Vol Nation storming the field and tear down the goal posts.

3. Arkansas - W-T-F was that. I remember watching that game live rooting for the Hawgs and being in disbelief how Clint Stoerner fell, fumbled and Arky losing the game.

4. SECCG - Congrats for Miss St making it there. There are a few teams wh never tasted Atlanta but the Vols matching up with an 8-5 Miss St team in SECCG.

5. Catching FSU with The Rooster at QB. Think he was their 3rd string.
However, you all won the first ever BCS game and beat FSU.

Funny those boys had just won the national title and starts singing after the game, "We dont give a damn about the whole state of Florida".

Al Wilson was one of my fave players of yours from that time. Met him at a bar right before the draft after that season. He was surprised I knew who he was.

Jamal Lewis was a beast. Back then Fulmer and the Vols were poaching elite players from GA with ease.

Still can't believe Spurrier gave up on Travis Henry (academics) coming out of HS in Frostproof, FL.. Thought Henry would've looked good in O&B...he reminded me of Emmitt Smith (build and similar speed). That decision came back to bite.

Hard to believe Vols fell off for so long after that run in the 90s.
Good to see you all back. Hopefully UF is on the way back also after falling off for a while too.

One of the most painful losses I can remember.

I remember seeing the kicker on campus the next Monday and just glaring at him and shaking my head.

Just let us enjoy our 1 season and cut the "lucky" crap. Yes we had some breaks but our defense was a championship defense. We were a top 5 program in the 90's with 3 SEC titles and a Natty. Put some respect on the 90's Vols.

Yep...SEC refs blew a call that wound up nearly costing Tennessee the game. The Arkansas punter kicking the ball out of the end zone should not have been a safety for UT. It should have been a penalty giving UT's offense the ball half the distance to the goal. So, instead of being down 24-22 and getting the ball on a free kick...Tennessee would have been down 24-20 with the ball 1st and 10 around the Arkansas 5 yard line.
