Wait, so you're saying that your team was put at an unfair disadvantage because of an error made by one of your own players?

This. If they win it all they might hear about it and go buy some Florida baseball team shirts real quick.

Touché. Guess I am struggling with reading comprehension this morning after getting minimal hours sleeping last night after the game and work early this morning.

I know I'll probably get slammed for this but I still don't agree with the replay call. I know that the ball was fair but I do not feel there was video evidence to support based solely on the fact of the angle of the camera. I think it has to be inconclusive, I see 99 percent certainty from that replay, not 100.

I just don't understand what the 3rd base ump was looking at. I mean he is straddling the foul line about 20ft from where the play happened. How do you miss that?

Oh and if we can keep this thing up into the weekend, we just might get a national seed as well. Hard to believe there is even the possibility after the spot this young team was in only 3 weeks or so ago but they are right there on the doorstep battling Vandy, Ole Miss, Vandy and USC for that 4th SEC National seed.

I'm blaming our staff for putting him in that situation. Just like the other UF fan was saying you put yourself in a bad spot by not scoring with bases load and no outs in the 11th, I'm saying it was a dumb call, tough break, and self inflicted wound by Mainieri to put him in that spot. Nothing to do with unfair advantage.

I definitely agree. I just can't justify overturning it with a poor angle. Also the idea that the ump gets to decide based on judgment where the player goes is a ridiculous rule too. Again, I know with the speed of the runner he would've easily made it to second, still think the rule is stupid though. The runner could've tripped or slid while running in the same manner that our outfielder dropped that flyball.

Not to mention the dropped foul ball in the 9th that turned into the instant replay double (and eventually comes home to score) should have never been dropped and most likely isn't dropped if we are not subbing for a guy in the bottom of the ninth whose coming into the game for first time all night ice cold and gets a hit like that from the first batter.

breaux is often inserted for defense late in the game. that isnt PM's fault at all and was a good call. kid just screwed up a fairly easy fly ball.

It's some twisted logic that you're using. It takes a real homer to spin this the way you're spinning it. If a run scores that shouldn't, there's no way to spin it to say it went in Florida's favor.

In the emotion of the game, unless Rivera cusses at the umpire, I see nothing wrong with what he did. And obviously, neither did the umpire or he would've thrown him out. You sound like a dickhead for arguing that the blown call was in Florida's favor. Idiot.

Seriously Great Game Florida...

Florida caught a break and LSU caught a break. Evens out. UF is just about to start its annual choke in Omaha parade again. I don't even know why I think every UF baseball season is any different.

Still not as bad as Fla. State though.......
A well-rested Fla team is dangerous in Omaha...

you dont know the rules of college baseball. he blocked the plate with his leg without the ball. it was very obvious. the announcers brought it up twice. so had the call been correct the run would have been safe and rivera would have been thrown out of the game.

no one is talking about rivera bitching at the ump or ever brought that up. bringing that up tells me you simply dont understand college baseball rules.

again congrats on getting the better end of that call. sorry you still lost. keep complaining though about a play that should have been worse for you.

Rivera is 100% lucky he wasn't thrown out. Did you notice as soon as he spiked his mask the ump straight to him and was right in his ear? What do you think he was saying?

You saying that Rivera did nothing wrong is some real homer shite as well.

That was seriously one of the greatest games I've seen.

I thought for sure Florida was going to win it when they had bases loaded with one out. Low and behold, third baseman comes up with his own DP.
