He won a national title with Chris Leak..and a third string QB.

Pretty impressive.

Saban won a national title with Greg McElroy. Who passed for 55 yards in the title game against Texas.

He's clearly one of the best coaches in this generation and def. the clear cut #2 coach in America, but Saban is clearly the best, not really debatable.

Saban is making a strong case for the greatest college football coach of all time.

Saban said it best himself, he is the best recruiter in college football, if the talent was equal I actually believe urban would win 70% of the time.

^^^^^ this. Saban was good but not great at Mich State.

OSU is equal in most everything about cfb except proximity to the best HS fb talent.

Meyer proved what he can do in the hart of SEC country..Saban at OSU, Mich, or Penn St??? doubt he'd do better than average 12 wins for the last 6 yrs and a NC.

Dabo is 2-0 vs Urban.

^^I'll bet you can come up with a couple coaches that are 2-0 vs Bear or 2-0 vs Saban too.

How fitting. You frickers have infiltrated every square inch of Charleston.

How arse hurt are you that Clemson is a much better program with a much better coach these days? And now Dabo is stealing 5* recruits from your backyard.

Go back to Ohio bitch.

Also, for reference, Urban Meyer is 53 years old and has 3 national titles

At 53, Saban was just winning his 1st title.....

takes longer to build something at lsu than at florida ...

Saban is great at creating systems that can win while hiding weaknesses within the system. You could probably list numerous players on our NC teams that were only successful because of the system. And most of those teams had 3 stars that we were major contributors. But where Saban wins with a system Meyer wins with maximizing the talent of one player he builds the team around. Tenow, Harvin, Braxton, etc..
Different approaches that both are great at.

Saban is clearly better. You must consider that he has to work with players who for the most part couldn't get into any Big 10 school. It must be exceedingly frustrating to have to repeat things over, and over, and over.
He does exceptionally well for what he has to work with.

No but I would put him second behind Saban without hesitation.

lmfao. he wouldn't make top 5 in the sec alone.

Saban at Ohio State would definitely average 12 or more wins. He would've definitely made the playoff this year too.

Meyer OWNS michigan while Saban is a meh, 7-4 against auburn

Michigan always sucks, so this isn't a fair comparison.

I think the most impressive stat of Meyers career is he's 14-2 vs his main rival

1-1 BG-Toledo
2-0 Utah-BYU
5-1 Fla-FSU
6-0 OSU-Mich

and is 11-3 in Bowl games.

don't know many coaches that could go 11-1 vs FSU/Mich
