I think that a lot of Auburn fans are missing out on the good vs. evil aspect of this event.
The rest of the football world sees the Newtons aa evil. Cam had serious issues at UF. Cecil shopped his son and seems to have other skeletons in his closet. We don't know about other stuff, but my experience with people tells me that we wouldn't like a lot of other stuff that hasn't come out. Auburn fans are hanging their school's reputation on "lack of proof" against some shady individuals.
The NCAA is going to make sure that no one gets away with this situation again. While Auburn is getting a "pass" on this issue because of loopholes in the rules, everyone outside of Auburn knows that the Newtons are just wrong and wrong for college football. Auburn fans think that squeezing through a loophole is OK.
The stench from the Newtons will be around for a while. Whether Auburn gets hammered in the future is irrelevant. In the here and now, Auburn has made a deal with the devil, and everyone outside of Auburn knows it.
It is good vs. evil, and evil is winning.

How does it feel to be the most disliked, disrepected football program in America or do you like the "us against the world" thing?
Terrible. If i don't have your approval and acceptance then I have no reason to carry on.

How old are you, oh wise one? This says a lot about who you hang with if you think people that frick up once are complete shitsacks through and through.

dear lord you're a puss...... to quote a great auburn running back -- 'grow a pair'.
frick'em and what they think.... this team has left it all on the field this season for us... now do every auburn fan a favor and STFU and enjoy the ride.

I guess I am a pessimist, Lowder is a fricking crook and Pat Dye has already put us on probation. As soon as Pat Dye comes back around campus and we are under investigation again. After Cecil admitted asking for money then I figured Lowder gave him cash.
Holy shite... are you a fan of the Weekly World News and the National Examiner as well? You seem to easily believe a lot of shite that is not true
what did he say that wasn't true?
If I was an Auburn fan I would probably be of the same opinion as Marines on this one
Cam and his Dad look dirty already and then you have Dye, Lowder, and McGregor in influential positions at Auburn... there are way too many foxes watching the henhouse at Auburn

Evil seems like a strong word but certainly dishonesty would be appropriate (honesty vs dishonesty if the alleged stuff is largely true)

Being rational isn't looked upon kindly by most of the other members of the family.

I'm just to the point where I don't give a flying frick. I love Auburn and this is the greatest season of my life and the greatest season in Auburn history. So haters gonna hate.

I am 56. Do you really think that you have to hang with turds to know what they do and how they operate? You can't think of any professions that understand evil because they work against it.
What I don't get is why you are defending Cecil? If Auburn gets in trouble, it is going to be his fault, and here you are defending him and attacking me for posting my opinion on why Auburn isn't well liked nationally.

I'm dead serious I don't give a frick.... crybabies like marines are letting this shite get to them for no reason.... This group of seniors has gone MILES for this university and program.... they deserve better than poons like marines.

If the alleged stuff is mostly true then it doesn't involve Auburn. (Unless of course we're talking about the alleged crap that is spewed around here)

Not many people are defending Cecil from what I've seen. If he had those talks about his son it's pretty pathetic to risk his son's future for his gain. Probably one of the lowest things you can do really.

If AU did something wrong to get in trouble, it's Auburn's fault.

what allegations are you referring to?
I just don't get when some Auburn fans say Auburn is not the party of major interest... MSU turned this stuff in and they refused to pay by all reports
The primary allegation in this whole thing is that someone or some people at Auburn paid Cam/Cam's father... that's kinda obvious to everyone outside Auburn I think...
1) Cam's father asked for money (first disputed now accepted)
2) Cam said the money was too much (presently disputed)
3) Cam's father unexpectedly announces to the family that Cam will be going to Auburn (apparently not in dispute)
4) A bunch of guys with a history of NCAA cheating and criminal behavior are in positions of major influence at Auburn (Dye, Lowder, McGregor)
If I were an Auburn fan I would be pissed as hell but reluctantly admit it looks very bad and think the money trail will likely be uncovered

Let me make this clear.. I am NOT defending Cecil Newton.. I think what he did is disgusting.
However..
From your original post:

You're lumping all the Newtons together. So by your reasoning if your mom does something shitty you don't know about at the time.. then you are shitty too.
I don't know what exactly happened (ie Cam and his Mom knew what Daddy were up to) but with all due respect.. neither the frick do you.
If they didn't know.. I hope Mama Cam divorces him and Cam puts her up in a beautiful house in Buckhead when he goes pro. I am not going to say what I wish on Cam's Dad... not here anyway.

I feel great. Being #1, undefeated, and SEC West champs is awesome.

If MSU is considered to have boosters that talked money then that's where they could get in trouble even if the higher ups refused. It's stupid but it's just like Cam being able to get in trouble for his father's actions.

Does anyone... OTHER THAN AUBURN FANS actually believe that Cecil Newton and his puppet son deserves to still be eligible after he was shopped to MSU for $180,000 (the FACT that he was shopped for cash is NOT in dispute)?
SERIOUSLY! Do you not believe SCAM knew absolutely nothing about the request for money ("The money was too good")? That even though Scam (A.K.A. Cam) absolutely loved MSU he went to Auburn without asking WHY?
