The noisemaker rule is SEC only.

A few years ago the SEC made them legal for MSU home games only but only during timeouts and after scores. There is an SEC official at each MSU home game that determines if the rule is broken. If it is broken, we are fined.

That's cool.

Are A&M fans capable of making noise without going to some gay practice the night before the game?

Seems like a pretty rad way to spend a Friday night.

A great question, Slippery Slope.
Answer: We are.
Midnight Yell Practice simply assists us with ironing out minor gameday technicalities (e.g., "Beat the hell outta LA TECH" vs. "Beat the hell outta Louisiana Tech").
Success is in the details, ya know? And the 12th Man must be on top of its game.
Thankfully, it's not an entire Friday night that must be sacrificed for said perfection; just about half an hour or so. I've found that most bars are happy to sell an abundance of hooch post- Midnight Yell.

I stayed at a buddies apartment tailgated with a bunch of buddies in the junction had a pretty good time considering the loss. I had to sit in the student section but the state fans weren't rough on me at all just a couple of cowbells rang in my face which is to be expected in that situation

We ring responsibly. There is not a student section in the SEC that is "responsible". You picked your poison.

At Ole Miss, they are confiscated at the gate and then sold in the Grove after the game to State fans.

Hahaha. Man, Texas is really in your heads.

Anything to do with cattle you want outlawed. Its truly a Freudian wet dream how obsessed Tamu is with UT.

I just want to know how this idea took off.

The first guy to propose this must have had a hell of on influence on people..

'Hey everybody, lets go to the stadium and get rowdy while looking at an empty field'.

Everbank begged us to bring them to the Gator Bowl. It's an SEC rule; not NCAA. I have one but rarely take to games. Too much work!

More like "Hey everybody, we're all socially inept virgins. Might as well get together and yell at some weird geeds on a Friday nights at the stadium."
