Let's don't even get started on Travis Carrol during that time period tho.
I knew travis before bama, so I'm ready to discuss whatever actually. Used jeep with 77k or 132k miles, depending who you believe... and $400. Far cry from a drop top benz on dubs. The worst part is they could've settled for shoulder surgery, paid for by the school. Program was ran like total shite then.

Travis was a good dude. A little on the thug side, I thought, but a funny dude none the less. If you honestly think TC didn't get paid, then dude you really are oblivious.

WDE, you should spend more time on plans for the departure of ole Gus and less time on whats going on in Tuscaloosa.
I'm all for Gus being gone... let's do this!
As for what's going on in Tuscaloosa, I just like playing on an even field dawg, that's all.

How does a kid with the talent a skillset of Jacobs, at a position like RB which we all know has a limited shelf life, not declare for the draft if he's projected to go in the 2nd round?
Can't say anything about the rest of the post since I assume you used a special loupe to examine them through the TV screen and ascertain that they are real giant diamonds. But RB is the iffiest draft position in football nowadays. Even a second rounder isn't guaranteed to go past a year. I think they have something like a 95-96% chance to make the roster. But that number drops fairly significantly for RBs past that year, iirc. If I'm an RB, I'd be leery of leaving early for a non-first round grade, but I'd never judge some kid who grew up poor and hungry jumping at the money.
Counterpoint: growing up poor and hungry can teach many lessons. One of them is the value of a degree to get a career where you don't raise your own kids poor and hungry. Some people would absolutely be willing to put off an iffy pro career for a solid degree.

You mean other than the hella used car and $400 i already listed? I seem quite open to the fact he got impermissible benefits.

Pretty spot on. Bolles snagged him skraight out of the hood. I wish bama would've done right by him health wise, but glad he still got to the NFL for a few years... even if it meant transferring to uf.

I know I'll be called a hater and we'll talk about Cam, and blah blah blah, but can someone answer a question for me? The other night, during the bama game, the TV pans to Josh Jacobs (who is BLACK) and begins to talk about him being homeless and struggles that he's had and what not. I couldn't help but notice the huge diamond earrings in the BlACK boys ears. With that being said, here's my question... How does a BLACK BOY with the talent a skillset of Jacobs, at a position like RB which we all know has a limited shelf life, not declare for the draft if he's projected to go in the 2nd round? How does the fact that this BLACK BOY from a poor family that was once homeless turn down life changing money, and that NOT throw red flags all across college football??
fricking racist bitch auNecks never quit, do they? Because no black people go to their college, other than players, and the only time they ever see blacks is on the football field, they think all colleges are like that.
Expect this stupid auNeck to start talking about BLACK BOYS with Dodge Chargers next and how no BLACKS can afford Chargers.
He's already given us the BLACK BOYS are stupid and can only play football and don't really want to graduate because, you know, they are black and are out for the money and only the money.
Bigotry like this should be eradicated from this board. Beat the stupid Lee County country hick ignorance out of these types of posters with ridicule and shame. Don't let them thrive.

This country hick thinks blacks have no self-control and drool over money like a hungry dog getting it's first meal in a week.
He believes they could care less about college or getting an education. He thinks that the thousands of poor white people who played football in times past were all virtuous and industrious and only used football to get an education and weren't interested in money at all, you know, because they were white.

Didn't Bo Scarbrough just last year forego his senior year and delcare for the draft despite a bad draft grade?
Also, of all positions, why would Alabama pay a running back to stay around? I don't think that's really a position of need.

Come on man, Bo S was not on Jacobs' level. He looked around, saw Damien Harris, Josh Jacobs, and Najee Harris, and knew he wasn't getting many carries and would never improve his stock any further. Dumb comparison.
As to your second question, Najee is the only poven comodity other than JJ next year. Not saying the cupboard is bare, but if you can keep one of the best players in the country at his position on board (regardless of position) you do it, right?

It's possible, and people do use coded language like that. Growing up in the South, we've all heard it. But I'm not going to make that assumption here without further evidence. The majority of football players are black, after all, so it's reasonable that the instance that set him up to post the troll would more than likely involve a black player. So I'll stick with the presumption that it's possible that it was racist but not proven.

Race never even entered my realm of thought man. Just an observation made by a fan of another school, while watching the game the other night.
People who make everything about race are the worst, but whatever y'all have to do to deflect, that's cool. I've seen it on here multiple times when somebody posts pictures, or asks questions, y'all immediately pull the racist card to deflect. Anybody who asks a question is immediately racist bc they're saying that no black family could afford (insert whatever we're talking about),... right?

As I said, I presumed it wasn't racist. And, yes, people can use race to deflect. The problem is, the reason it can be used effectively to deflect is that real racism is an actual problem the country over, including the South.

You were fingering yourself during that racism fetish weren't you? You are obviously the greatest white kid that has every walked the earth.
You are one of those libs who dumb down their conversation with black people because deep down you believe them to be of lower IQ right?

Easy answer, they're not real diamonds.

Of course race was what it was about, and all it was about. Your snide insinuations about the diamond earrings and how no black player could ever afford that, especially a homeless black player who can't even afford to buy a loaf of bread, right?
Then you start rambling about how you knew a black guy once, even rode with him in his fancy car that had fancy tires that may have been stolen or may have been given to him because he was black. WTF?
You are ridiculous. Did Joe Namath, poorer than any black player to play for Alabama in the last 50 years, steal his fur coats or were those just gifts?
