Texas will push hard to get it moved to Dallas.
Good let them push and get no results. I dont see why Texas wants it in Texas so badly they will never be playing in it anyway LOL

Tennessee won’t see the SECCG either just like Texas LOL

I live in Alpharetta and I’m totally cool if they’d move it. Nobody really likes going to the city for anything due to all the crime. It’s just not worth it really
Would love for it to be in Nashville.

Why would it matter?
Nashville is another cultureless crime ridden dump like all cities in the south

The SEC will do whatever it wants to in the best interest of the SEC.
That said... the ACC will grab Atlanta the second it is available and lock it down for 20 years.
That may not mean anything to fans who are tired of Atlanta. But it does get filed in the FAFO category that little decisions could have decade long consequences.

I’m just biased against the actual city.
I’ve lived in Vinings, Brookhaven, Buckhead and Midtown.
The thought of living in any of those areas again makes me cringe
Not like a get a vote so if it stays so be it, but if I had a pick to put it somewhere else there’s other cities I’d like to have host it for a change

What is wrong w/Vinings and Brookhaven?

I've never lived in the city.
Presently, I'm 60 miles north.
But I've stayed with friends who live in the city.
It is a city. If you don't like it, you don't like living in cities. I know people who loved it. I know people who enjoyed it but were happy to get out at 24 years old.
I know a few who hated it, but when I hear their stories they don't sound like they were very smart with a lot of their decision-making. There was a carelessness which led to a lot of regret and anger. But I chalk it up to the same end result at any other city.

They're too close to Buckhead and West Midtown/Bolton imo. I still have a couple friends in Chamblee and my gf’s parents live near Chastain, but they all want out and are actively shopping anything north of Sandy Springs.
The only ppl I know that aren’t actively seeking to go OTP are the libs who claim to enjoy renting/owning condos and living by all that mess. They’ll figure it out sooner or later I imagine
Not much inside the perimeter is worth living there full time anymore. Maybe a day trip, but that’s about it. Took me a decade to see the light but once work from home became common place and I didn’t need to live near my office, I gtfo

SEC is only focused on game in Atlanta
Stupid to leave money on the table when they could at the very least bid it out to see what other locations would pay.

You don't think that the SEC shakes down Atlanta every time they need to renegotiate?
UGA/UF shake down Jacksonville every time negotiations are happening and we've been going down there a lot longer than the SEC is going to Atlanta.

Downtown Atlanta is trashy. It’s arguably the trashiest major city in the South aside from New Orleans. The game needs to be moved to Nashville, Jacksonville, or Dallas. Maybe rotate those three.
Jacksonville fricking sucks it's just a sprawled out mess
Atlanta is fine if you think that's trashy you obviously haven't been to many places.
You live in a state that has Birmingham in it for example that place is a considerably bigger shithole.
Dallas/Houston are the only similar cities in the south in terms of ease to get to.
Nashville is getting better but Jacksonville/new Orleans/ Birmingham are Shitshows to fly to

Not to the degree they could if they had an open bidding process.
