Miss St goes to a bowl game and now favored to win anything in the SEC.......
Come on man, LSU, BAMA and Ar-Kansas will be loaded....LSU and BAMA re-stock, Ar-Kansas has good talent.
Miss St, good team and doing good things, but they will get hammered by lack of depth and talent...

16 starters returning- including most of the OL and DL, redshirting nearly all of the 2010 recruiting class, and pulling in a top 20 class in 2011 says different.
State was the winningest team in the West in the last half og the 1990's- all it takes is a good coach and you can win at State. Is it as easy as it is at Bama, LSU, or UPig? No- but can be done

The favorite will be LSU or Bama. Miss State will be good again but they're just not able to recruit the top tier talent at state. Great coach just not quite enough talent yet. Kinda vise versa of LSU.

Agreed. I think State is honestly about 2-3 years away from being "kind of like this years arkansas" IMO. I'm not saying they will be a high flying 400+ yards a game type team. I mean they will compete in almost every game and might find themselves in a BCS bowl before long.

1. Bama
2./3. coin toss LSU/Ark
4. State
5. Aub*
6. OM *
* if the NCAA hammer falls on Aub before next season, switch Aub & OM
I think 1-3 will all be in the hunt, but with Bama getting both LSU & Ark at home, I'll give Bama a slight edge.

OK so next year it will be
LSU/Bama
Mississippi State/Arkansas
Auburn
Ole Miss
The top dogs re-emerge next year.

Arkansas or Bama...
LSU is gonna have to improve that offense before I put them any higher...
State will win some games, but still looking at 4th
Auburn/OM - I'll wait on the coahing changes

Agreed, LSU needs to find a QB or an OC or both.

Last half of the 90s? Doesn't seem like it... 97-99 overall they did tho... mostly because the competition dropped the ball (SEC West was pretty shitty that stretch).

LSU won 10 games with a putrid offense this year. Hard to discount them next year since it's hard to imagine them not improving.

Do they still have Miles, Crowton and JJ?
I'll stick with my original answer

I'm sure someone said this already but we broke in a new QB in 2009 too.

LSU is going to miss Petersen more than they want to admit it.

LSU - Yes
Miss State - are you fricking kidding me?
I think the top 5 teams in the west will all be very good again. Also there are some outstanding freshman coming in for these teams that will make some impact to varying degrees. Where does Mettenberger wind up. If it is with one of the teams in the West then they become the favorite IMO. He is that good. And no it won't matter who's calling the plays because a kid like Mettenberger (like a Mallett) dictates what plays will be called and will feel free to change them whenever he sees fit. Look for all five SECw teams not named Ole Miss to begin the season in the top 25, along with USCe, UGA, and UF. The SEC will continue to dominate the college football scene IMO.

Who has the most favorable schedule with the most starting seniors?

Not LSU unless all the others collapse.
