31 votes needed...power 5 get 5 points per vote, lower group gets 4, everyone else 1 I think..NOs are ACC, Big12, Big 10, WAC...cuspy as of now
As far as why they need coaches paid..not a big deal for SEC schools except we want to give these coaches salaries and benefits and not rely only on camps..in SEC camps are big coaches get paid..but no insurance..in smaller southern conferences..camps smaller

Please explain why a third assistant is needed?
Well, for LSU at least, we have a pitching coach that is paid and then a guy that basically manages the day-to-day operations of the program and is our head recruiter (and a very good one). That leaves us with having to use volunteer assistants for our hitting coach. Only 3 coaches (head coach included) are allowed to recruit. There's no reason for a college baseball team to be consistently hamstrung like they are. 11.7 scholarships, 35 roster spots, and 27 scholarship players is bad enough as is.

Right now you have a head coach, pitching coach, and a hitting coach that also acts as your 1st or 3rd base coach. Which means the other is a volunteer.
Just on that alone it needs it ecspecially when MLB has like 10+

Kendall Rogers was reporting that ADs from smaller conferences were voting yes even though they voiced that they wouldn't take part in the changes for the good of the game. frick the ACC.
Why would schools vote to add more employees in a non-revenue sport?
As a side note, is ANYONE surprised that the sackless cucks at Notre Dame didn't even vote?

Voting to make yourself less competitive is dumb.
