Well he did make the conference look bad and then had the school and state help him. It wasn't like it wasn't clear what would happen after that.
LSU fans were beating their chests to have him and if it turns out then he would single handly be the reason they got kicked to the curb.

The sec just wants the authority to expel lsu so everyone is on notice. They aren’t going to expel lsu.
