What started the flood of liberal state folks moving to Nashville was Nissan moving their North American headquarters from California to Nashville about 10 years ago. Altria closed their plant in Chicago and transferred their employees to the US Smokeless Tobacco location there. No telling what other companies have moved there?

Nashville suburbs are pretty nice. Some good restaurants and bars downtown. Lexington is a cool, mid-sized town with some good eats and great bourbon. Plus the horses.

Tyson bought out Hillshire Brands (Chicago) a few years back. Walmart is non-stop recruiting California and, well, every major metro in the country.

NWA has finally reached that level of population that big-city people actually don't mind moving here, which is bad for the future. Before 10 years ago, a lot of people wouldn't move here because it was too small (not the right shopping, restaurants, or private academies).

Not anymore.
