how the hell did the guy on 2nd score just from an overthrow to home?

Pinch runner. He was black.

also... with 2 outs he was in motion on contact anyway

so by the time the ball went over the catcher's head... he was already rounding 3rd and was pretty much on the lead runner's heels

I think the pitcher realized in the middle of what he was doing that he was making a huge mistake and he lost absolutely all of his concentration.

I think we had 5 errors last night. One being a ball hit hard back at the pitcher, bounced off his calf he ran to it and threw a really shitty throw to first that at least advanced all the runners if not letting a run in. Of course, I like to think our guy was in a little pain and that prompted him made the quick (bad) decision to throw it but shite happens to us all, OM.

2 outs after 2 consecutive Ks
This is the key part.

Georgia gets 2 men in scoring position with 0 outs.

They follow that up by doing the worst thing with RISP. They K twice. Good contact brings at least one run home but they K twice.

Ole Miss has themselves in a great position to get out of the inning. Two outs...the batter in a full count. Batter hits a hard grounder but the pitcher makes a great stop. THEN..... chaos ensues.

I was at the game. The ball nailed Kacey and I thought he would be hurt but he shook it off.

Kacey has a tendency of trying to make something out of nothing. There is a time to simply hold the ball and live to fight another day.

Yep. For all that was screwy with that play you have to appreciate the effort by Georgia's base runners. This is why you teach players to give full effort.

Strikes one and two were on completely opposite sides of the plate. Both outside the zone, unless that’s the way he’s been calling it all game.

granted... if the catcher gloves that shite throw and the runner at 3rd decides to go back to 3rd... that runner is pretty much dead to rights trying to get back to 2nd

if I knew I fricked up that badly... I'd probably be rearing back and trying to throw million MPH fastballs

me personally... my fastball is probably 50 mph
