What do these announcers want our guy to do? Slide into the fricking bat? He went straight in.

The point was no need to make that slide when out by 15 feet...

Why not slide? The softball super regionals start soon. Maybe that’s more your speed

I don’t think a head to head match up in the losers bracket of a conference tourney should decide that.

I think the team with the higher RPI and better conference record (for teams in the same conference) will probably be a better indicator.

A slide sure to the back corner of thr plate to break it up but au the front of the plate rightvat the catchers anklr is a shady move, period.

How is that any different than a base runner sliding 5 feet outside the base trying to take out the ankles of a SS or 2B making a double play at first?

He didn't need to slide but there wasn't anything illegal nor really unethical about the slide.

There isn't.

But he was being pulled off the plate. The base runner has every right to advance to the plate. Stop being a bitch.

Looks like the threat of rain hasn’t stopped Florida today. Interesting change of events.

Reading comprehension is a lost art apparently. There was a fricking bat blocking the “back corner of thr plate” dipshit

I fricking love Edourd Julien. Was asked how he feels about Mize pitching tomorrow and he calls 10Ks and complete game.

If he slides outside base path he is out...I don't think the slide at home was illegal, just a little unethical

4 homers and one guy hit one out from each side of the plate including a grand slam.

That happens at second base every game. It happened to Will Holland yesterday.

Right now, UGA has the better RPI and SOS. Conference record is 18-12 for both (19-12 if you count today).

Honestly, both should be national seeds but I highly doubt the NCAA gives 4 of 8 to one conference.

I agree that a conference tournament game shouldn't decide a national seed but when you have two teams this close it may make it an easier deciding factor

Ole Miss and UGA will have very comparable resumes going into tomorrow. Same SEC record, same record against group 1 teams. UGA had a higher RPI coming into today but both were top 9, not sure how these games will affect them.

Winner keeps national seed, loser slips out of top 8. UGA has gotten a lot of love, but if they lose tomorrow, they will have lost 19 games on the season and be 9-9 against RPI top 25.

Same goes for Ole Miss. We have been hanging on to our national seed, and if we lose tomorrow, we will have lost 3 of our last 5 games of the season against beatable competition. Not a good look for us.
