Because the D's in the SEC are so good it would make their offense look about like you guys did. If you think they would be ranked #30 in a full year of SEC play you just aren't being objective.
Power 5 is the objective way to view it. Which is what most people do.

That quality of opponent matters when reviewing early season stats.

You should really watch more SEC football. Outside of a handful of us (Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Auburn, maybe Mississippi State, maybe Vanderbilt) the league has a lot of average to bad defenses that get lit up by non-P5 teams quite frequently.
If you don't think Arkansas State would have success on offense against Ole Miss, South Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas and the like you are fooling yourself.

LSUs D is very young overall and will only get better

Uhhu, but you are talking about the fact that LSU has played good defenses. This is a thread about SEC defenses, meaning the quality of the opposing offense is what matters.

Alabama's defense has played 1 very solid offense, 1 average offense and 1 terrible offense. FACT.

Correct, they would be around 65th, which is where they are on ESPN FPI right now. An "average" offense.
