Mullen spreads the ball around. Not to WRs I guess. It’s a shame no one keeps up with the talent level of college teams we might know more

Against Miami - UF WR's had 8/17 completions
Against UTM - UF WR's had 25/30 completions
Against UK - UF WR's had 14/21 completions
Against UT - UF WR's had 15/24 completions

Mullen's offense utilizes TEs and RBs way more than most offenses. In the game against UK, Jefferson had 7 catches for 93, which is a typical Mullen WR statline for a "big" performance.

Even during the Tebow years, WRs never put up huge numbers like you see now.

Right. But in those same games, why couldn’t LSU players in those receivers spots put up larger numbers than the ones that were in their before.

For Example, maybe against UK Marshall would have gotten open on 2 more passes that ended up just being throwaways in the actual game, but in this hypothetical LSU WR game, they are completions. Marshall finishes with 123 yards on 9 receptions. That’s literally all I’m talking about.

Boxer I guess we’ll just have to agree that our offenses are so different that we can’t compare them

I still hate yalls running backs from 2016

UF had plenty of WRs open in the UK game and Franks missed them.

Trask hit them.

Switching 3 players doesn't change that and is a completely stupid argument.

I fricking hate your special teams. frick those guys. LSU special teams (except for probably 2015 punt returns) always seem to pull something out of their arse against UF.

Look up Texas Pass defense statistics last year and this year. Okie State just had redshirt freshman QB go into Austin and light them up

My God like Bama has played some great defenses this year.

Let's keep it real

ETA: gif unrelated

If the three players are better, which in my opinion they are, maybe you wouldn’t see it in one game, but there would eventually be a noticeable difference in receiving stats. Even if a QB is missing wide open guys, the more wide open guys you give him, the more he will hit them eventually. What you are saying is you think the UF receivers can get open on, and make every play that the LSU receivers can. I don’t think they can.

That’s not a stupid argument. It’s just an opinion.

I am optimistic. For him to play like that after not starting for 7 years, is pretty amazing - he exceeded Franks best game passing statistically in his first start, and he should've had over 350 yards and 3 TDs. Copeland dropped a wide open 60+ yarder.

He needs to improve his pocket awareness and learn not to completely trust manipulating the defense with his eyes.

He was accurate, quick with decision making, and confident going through his progressions. Franks had his moments, but he is too inconsistent for my liking.

What about the interceptions? Are you worried about them?

I with you on Chase.

I got called out on the rant because I said Chase was the Tiger’s best WR. I got a little heat because Chase’s numbers are not as good as Jefferson's yet.

But if I’m an NFL coach I’m picking Chase all day long. He is like a clone of NFL Hall of Famer Chris Carter.

Nope. He trusted his arm too much on the first throw, and on the second throw, he trusted that he would manipulate the safety with the lookoff, which didn't happen.

He was aggressive on both throws, and for not playing much in 7 years, thats gonna happen.

It’s funny. I was relieved that UF hired Mullen instead of Chip Kelly

That’s probably gonna bite me in the arse

Idk, I feel like chip would have been pretty good at a school like UF. He just has nothing to work with where he is right now.

Naw Chip is fat and done. His latest quotes prove it. I know we all love Leach but he fricked that game away last night more than Chip fricked it hisself
