Having a discussion about putting LED lights in tiger stadium and what the pros and cons are in having them. I think the old lights add to the mystique of tiger stadium. I’m sure recruits are more impressed by the cool lights.

I want to know what the Georgias, the Alabamas and the Auburns of the world think about their stadium having LED lights(and the light shows that come with them) and do you think it adds to the fan experience.

Also, can you guys post some videos of your lights during games

I love ours. Can’t believe we ever had night games without them

It’s awesome. Tiger Stadium would look sick lit up purple. 100% recommend.

It also allows for cool things like the phone flashlight wave and syncing with music. You can just cut the lights off and bring them right back.

Definitely.

It’s fun, but I’d also say it’s not a must-have or anything.

Some high schools have them at this point. Whoever is selling those things is making some bank.

Good Lord. I remember when people got made that we replaced the broken windows and painted our north end zone to make it look nice. Folks were pissed because it ruined the “haunted” look

Nicer is always better.

I like ours honestly. Can't really tell they're LED until they do a lil' stint

Interesting. I could see that.

I’m sure some of the old timers have to close their eyes too so they don’t get a seizure

Right. And I’m sure they’re cheaper and easier to maintain

Haven't seen them in person, but the once every few years we have night games at home, they look good on TV and the pictures.

LED lights have been an amazing addition to Neyland imo. The entire show they put on for the night game against Kentucky was incredible in person

Just watching the video, made my eyes ache a bit. I probably wouldn't do well with them in person.

Wasn't UGA the first or one of the first to get them?

IIRC, Alabama installed them first, but didn’t have a night game until the end of October that season (2019).

Georgia put theirs in later but actually got to use them first.

Most fans love them.

People who work for a living hate them.
