Big 12 North 2007-2012 was better than the SEC East 2012-2017.

Would be relevant if we were talking about division championships

Missouri and South Carolina have the same amount of conference championships since 1969.

USCe was an independent for decades, though. Impossible to win a CC when you're not in a C. Not guaranteeing anything, but given the state of ACC football before they brought in the Florida teams, it's not unthinkable USCe could have added a championship or two had they stayed in the ACC.

IS the Big 12 really a conference?

Not since they let the B1G break up the band.

Probably was #2 behind the SEC and would have been even stronger if they swapped Arkansas for Baylor when the Big 8 and SWC merged. B1G added Penn State first but by the time they actually added the Nitters, the other conferences had already expanded. My guess is they wanted the Irish at 12 and waited for them a bit too long.

Georgia fans have become insufferable and all they did was lose to Alabama like everyone else.

Well, we do have 808 wins, 13 SEC titles, 15 conference titles and 31 bowl wins.

Missouri has 671 wins, 0 SEC titles, 15 conference titles and 15 bowl wins.

I'm okay with the comparison

Oh FFS, they were indy for roughly 20 years. It's not like they were a Penn State or Pitt and weren't in a conference until the 90s.

So easy

Big 12 North '07-'12

Top 25's (AP) 9
Top 10's (AP) 2
TOP 5's (AP) 1

SEC East '12-'17

TOP 25's (AP) 14
Top 10's (AP) 7
Top 5's (AP) 4

Didn't even tally up AA's or BCS bowls but pretty sure those wouldn't be close either.

Carolina and Tennessee both beat Spurrier's Duke ACC champ team in '89.

Gamecocks also beat the top 4 ACC teams (only 4 with winning records) in 1987.
