Most before the SEC was formed.

Huh? 8/11 of their claimed titles are AP, which started after the SEC formed.

11 claimed titles

(3) Pre SEC = 1924, 1929, and 1930
(5) Pre games played against SEC schools = 1943, 1946, 1947, 1949, and 1966

8

(3) against SEC's first game = 1973, 1977, 1988

8 > 3

No games between Notre Dame and the SEC till the 1970's

About 80 - 90 years before the Irish played the first SEC school.

You claimed most of their titles were before the SEC formed. I corrected you. Don't move the goalposts now.

Probably better to word it that the Irish were afraid to play the SEC prior to the 1970's and even then they pretty much played bowls and not home and homes (except LSU maybe?) so that the OP and title are a bit misleading but folks would claim I was being biased against Notre Dame.

Irish scared to play the SEC, especially at SEC home venues

What? The Irish played GT multiple times when they were in the SEC and they also played several times in Atlanta.

They played throughout the '30's,40's,50's and 60's
