FOIA still applies, just redact Vandy stuff.

Also, FOIA can still apply depending on what's being requested.

How would adding a private school protect a conference from a state level FOIA equivalent request to the point that it's a wise financial decision? The juice doesn't seem like it's worth the squeeze considering that most important information in situations we're thinking of could simply be subpoenaed, even from a private school/org.

Because the private school membership excludes everybody else

Alabama may be subject yo FoIA but when you put them in the SEC with private Vanderbilt, the SEC is now FoIA free.

Well that’s false....Hugh freeze’s cell phone got FOIA’d. Any institution receiving public funding can be FOIA’d

t would also do irreparable harm to remove a founder -- more than any other sport CFB relies on region, pride of place, and a sense that our teams are a large part of our identity but it holds for our conference in general. (I could go on with that point but y'all get it).

Not only a founder, but THE founder

SIAA was founded by Dr Dudley @ Vanderbilt. He was a Kentucky lad who wound up at Vanderbilt. Not only did he found the SIAA (which became the SoCon, then the SEC) but he was also a founder of the NCAA. SIAA is actually older than the Western (what became the B1G) so screw them for acting like they came first.
