I've seen some of these screen names on some of the Mississippi State boards. I'm doing some more online research but I wouldn't jump to claiming this is BS so fast.

I'm not claiming it is BS yet, but I haven't seen any kind of proof. No clue how big Morgantown is, but if this happened in BR it wouldn't take long before there was something other than one poster talking about it.
People will repeat a story with no facts if it somehow makes sense...look at charging for FB in the last 24 hours.

On an iPhone. Believe what u want. I know the guy from back in the day. His Facebook says he lives in Pittsburgh. Reason for him being in Pittsburgh hospital.

1) There is a massive push to cause this thing to go viral. Over a half dozen message boards have been "targeted" as well as FB. That should be the first hint the story is complete bullshite. Why artificially push the story in such an extreme way? The posts are anti-WVU so this isn't just a genuine ploy for sympathy.
2) Why no police report?
3) Why didn't he recieve treatment from a trauma center less than a mile away?
4) How come there is no news story on the event?
5) How do you explain the fact that a man with the exact same name and injuries incurred during an assault took place in St. Louis 6 years ago?
Given the nature of the posts, the way it is being distributed, there is grounds for prosecution if it is proven to be false.
My advice to you sir, is to remain mum on the matter until solid evidence is presented or you could possibly be named as a co-defendant. Take my advice for what it is worth.

I find it really hard to believe that this is fake when there are facebooks being posted that seem to match the story.
