Plus, we don't want to get too serious on the Internet. There's always time for a little levity.

I really don't think he saw anything but the grass below him with his head lowered at that angle, now that you mention it.

ETA: At least 25 more pages.

You are becoming my new favorite Bama poster. He could have paralyzed the punt returner.

One of the first plays shown on the spearing video I posted a few pages back is an LSU player spearing. It is not right for anyone to do it. The rule exists for a reason. I cannot believe people are defending this. There is no excuse for a cheap shot like that.

I think it was a messed up play from the get go. The punt returner was in no position to even make a play on the football. It was no where close to him at the time and then we he shaded his eyes to pick the ball up he started running forward. It would have been ok for him to run to the ball swinging a fair catch but he did not do that. He was wanting to make a play for his team. Wade did what he was taught to do, make a play before the returner did. I do not understand why this is being blown up?

Because it's illegal to hit him REGARDLESS of where the ball is. Do Arky fans really not get that it's illegal to contact the punt returner before the ball gets there?

Because we all desperately needed something to talk about that didn't involved the words Novermber, 5th, stats, Bama, LSU and alahunter.

I knew at the time he made the hit he must have thought the receiver had the ball. I really thought the announcers were pretty stupid not to even bring that possibility up.
