Yes. Honestly, I do not understand LSU's expansion. Their stadium looks about 40% full for most games and maybe 80% for the big ones except AU or Bama.
Well, most of the new upper deck is suites and those are VERY desirable. LSU is adding over 60 and still has a waiting list. The bleacher seats will be for you frickers. LSU is finally joining every other SEC school in taking the prime lower bowl seats away from visiting fans and sticking y'all in the nose bleeds.

And I get that a lot of people buy tickets and don't go and even more leave early, but still the trend is going to be decreasing attendance for the foreseeable future.
Yep and it's going to be a problem until someone finds a way to make the stadium experience more appealing which I have no idea how you accomplish that.

Suites/Club seating. Period
As well as a facelift for the south endzone.

Literally dozens of things they could do. Sell alcohol in the stadium. Play highlights from other games during time outs. Stop nickel and diming your attendees to death with parking fees and other nonsuch. Build a couple party decks in the corners of the south endzone so people can throw shite at the student section. Schedule an intriguing home slate. Punish those who leave early be sliding them to the back of the line for ticket renewal and/or removing or restricting reserved seating sections.

Yeah, it was almost all club seating and boxes. We definitely don't need any more general seating.

I think those days are just about over. Too much money in neutral site games.

Yikes. I think this sound a little too Nazi-ish if you know what I mean.

TV contracts will forever prevent this from ever happening unless the other game is over.
Lots of other logistics are also involved that make this difficult as hell.

I imagine it won't really affect SEC games since the entire league in on the same contract. I think I remember other schools talking about showing other games just last year.

Jerry Jones may feed you for one night, but kids that grow up going to games in Tiger Stadium will feed you for 40 years.

I don't think so. Scan tickets when people leave. If they depart at half time every game for a couple of years, let someone else bid on their tickets. If the greek students decide not to show up till midway through the 1st and leave in the third, give their section to other students. If the students don't shut up or leave early, give their section to paying fans.

I thought State did a little bit of that already?

In 2009 when the students arrived 2 hrs early for the Florida game they had an actual game on the jumbotron and the commentary was playing over the speakers. I think it happened to be an Ole Miss game.IIRC

I had no idea we did that and I am impressed. We should do that every gameday.

Pretty sure they stopped playing the game when the teams came out to warm up and started the pre-game piped in music and commercials. So, 1.5 hrs before the game? Good start.
And I agree with the other poster, pretty sure State showed highlights throughout the game for other games.

Tennessee can knock that kind of renovation out in an afternoon. Best construction crew on the planet.

I think Smokey impregnating Reveille would be a better way to one up us than stadium seating.
