That is a quote from a will. The college has much more in common with Auburn than any other school, as we copied them. There’s a reason Lewis Grizzard called it “Auburn with a lake”.

That is a quote from what the founder of the school wanted and it is right there on the clemson.edu website. Your response is anecdotal and your source is Lewis Grizzard.
Take a lap.

He donated land for the school. Had nothing to do with the plan for the University, that was done while he was in the ground.

Do you even Clemson, bro?

Naughty side wall fan. I am a graduate. That link does not support your statement. It just reiterates a quote in a will. If you want to claim Clemson was inspired by Mississippi State, fine. But it was modeled after Auburn.

Sad Clemson only has to play 1 descend game a year! Pussy schedule. why not get in the SEC ? GEAUX TIGERS !

Is that supposed to be an attribute?

Are you actually suggesting that the founders of the school took Ole Man Clemson's money and his name, but chose not to honor the request of his will? Don't be a retard.
If you are a Clemson graduate, you need to spend less time in the bar and more time learning about the school you attended.
You have one building on campus that is modeled after a building at Auburn. Here is the link you used to make your feeble argument about your campus being modeled after Auburn's:
LINK
I have provided links from Clemson's own website as well as their wiki page showing you that you are wrong.
Your comments suggest you're a sidewalk fan so that's what I'm going with.

Like most Clemson fans, even there graduates, most didn't give a crap about football until the last 5 or 6 years.

Lonnie, not true at all. I started going to Clemson games in 77. I started going to Citadel games in 72. I have followed both of these teams for many years. Haven’t missed a South Carolina Citadel game in the last 40 years. Those are usually a blast.

And Lonnie, can we assume you didn’t graduate from SC? Or do they not teach proper use of “there”?

why not get in the SEC
Because we have turned them down every time they come begging because Clemson has academic standards to uphold. The University of Vanderbilt proves that you can't have both good academics and good sports in the mighty SEC SEC SEC. You all forget about everything but football but at Clemson education comes first. After all the dust settles from this Covid, I expect the SEC to come around asking for us to join again to keep from looking bad by being beaten up by Dabo. The answer will still be no.

Speaking of, “Clemson” sounds more like a country store than a university to me

To young atheletes across the country it sounds like heaven though. That is all that matters. That and knowing that they are going to get a chance to beat up on the mighty SEC, win nattys, and get paid record money like Deshaun Watson and Nuk Hopkins and soon Heisman winner Lawrence and runner up ETN. I have meant to say thank you to the LSLOSERS for letting Etienne slip through the shrimp boat captain's fat fingers.

Story checks out. What kind of man moves from the south to his wife's home in Ohio? A Clemson man, that's what kind. Cuck.
