I don't hate any other team -- like most of us, I've got relatives who attend all sorts of schools, SEC and otherwise.

I agree with you here. You should root for the team you like not a conference. Then your team leaves the conference and what do you have? Or the conference turns on your team? I like the SEC because they have some good teams to watch and play against but that’s it. I’ll always root for Texas and occasionally root for another team just because I want to see them win not this whole SEC mentality.

I don't know if it makes you feel better rooster, but there is an exception for SEC v. SEC. No problem with rooting for little USC to beat, for instance, A&M.
