I agree, LSU and Ark were much higher, but I think that State and OM were very close
We are third in the Country right behind LSU and ARKY. How is LSU and Arky "much higher" but Om is close to State. Think about what you said. Anyway no matter you are correct most of the SEC does really well and I think we can all agree no other conference loves their baseball more than the SEC.

Most fans up north pay no attention to college baseball. I visited Michigan State the summer before my senior year in high school (1993). Their baseball stadium looked like some local little league stadium with slightly nicer dugouts.

It's math my young padwan. Total attendance #'s
LSU = 311,187
Arkansas = 222,985
State = 174,223
OM = 155,489
OM and State are only +/- 18k apart in total.
LSU and Ark are 136K and 49K higher than State respectively. What I'm saying is that State and OM are closer together than State is with LSU and Ark. Therefore, we should be grouped together and LSU and Ark should be grouped together. Your #3 rank is based on the large gap between LSU and Ark and the rest of the country, not on the fact that you have massive attendance #'s in the same league with LSU and Ark.
Yes, I agree. College Baseball attendance is dominated by the SEC. Now we need to get back to dominating in Omaha.

My Bama brethren will disown me but I have always loved LSU baseball since the early 80's.

Apples to oranges. I was discussing single season attendance averages. You have quoted largest crowds ever #'s.
I agree. Your record crowds are about 3.5K higher on avg. State 10-15K, OM 7K - 10K. However, in avg attendance over the past season, we were very close.
LSU and Ark we NOT very close to OM and State.
P.S. With this years expansion, and if we host a Super this year, we'll talk again about largest ever records at the end of this season.

I think you are missing my point, so let me clarify for you. You keep saying how close we were in attendance LAST YEAR and my point is we where way down in attendance last year due to the Fact we had one of the worst years in our history yet we where still 3rd in the Country in attendance and Ole Miss was still several thousand people behind us. I was just letting you know the magnitude of the LOVE for Baseball at State, LSU, and Arky. You want to talk about apples and oranges well the defenition of that is trying to compare Miss. St. with Ole Miss in baseball in any category.

TheSecWEST,
I was lucky enough to be at the very last few games ever played at the old Alex Box last June in the Super Regional vs Cal-Irvine.
The 2nd to last game was an elimination game, and LSU rallied in the bottom of the ninth. The atmosphere was totally insane.
And the last game that clinched the CWS berth had standing, sitting, and leaning room only - it was over 8,000 fans packed in like sardines to see the last game ever at Alex Box.
It was absolutely spine-tingling, emotional, and unbelievable. I'm glad I had my camera :)

I saw that game on T.V., one of my closest friends is a huge LSU fan and we watched as LSU pulled out that tiger magic they have had for several years now. I have never been to a game at the Box but I hear its unreal.

those 2 baseball games in the super regional were the best 2 ive ever been at. It was chilling how loud the box got when we made our late inning run. it was awesome. Even the family of scott gorgen (the ace for uci) had a blast.

Look at the # of games. State and Bama both only had #'s in the upper 20's and still made the top ten.

Love SEC baseball and Love the tigers. I'm young but I remember watching the CWS as a young kid especially 2000. Last year was special and I'm happy Tiger baseball is back just in time as I will be attending LSU in a couple of years(I should be able to get in).
