Yeah.... nope. Bama has one decent back and he is injury prone.

This makes you sound uninformed. Bama's strength at RB IS the depth. Damien Harris, Josh Jacobs, and likely within a couple games Najee Harris (5 star, top 1-2 RB in his class) could all be the main guy if Bo (the presumptive starter) was out.

After those you would even have an emergency plan with the likely 5th guy on the depth chart - Brian Robinson who was a 4 star / Top 150 guy / 7th ranked RB in his class. He has talent too although he probably won't see the field this year unless two other guys go down.

Yeah I hear you. I guess we didn't whiff totally. I could be wrong but at 6-foot 190 he's not going to be an every-down back or a game changer. I expect he'll redshirt this season unless something dramatic changes.

He's perfect for our offense. And all accounts are saying that he is pushing for 3rd string behind Pett and Kerryon.

Talking about 2017 running backs and you bring up Henry, and Fournette? You Gumps are more insecure than I thought.

NAME CAR YDS AVG LONG TD
Damarea Crockett 153 1062 6.9 39 10
Ish Witter 162 750 4.6 25 (TD) 6

Count on Mizzou being in the top 5 this year in rushing.

Crockett is the real deal.

What were his numbers against SEC competition just curious? I know Drew's numbers were skewed because of how well he played he against lower competition.

He put up 225 yards vs Tennessee
154 vs Vandy
145 vs Florida

He had 1000 yards starting 8 games.

He was suspended the last game of the season.

He's good.

very true my mistake... there really isn't much else you could measure it by except the average of the average and weighting SEC games more but that still wouldn't be YPC

Scarbrough is a beast, no doubt about it.

You guys hear anything about his health? Thats really the only thing holding him back.

I hope you are right. If he makes third-string, he will get plenty of playing time this year.

let me sum up the SEC RB situation for 2017 as succinctly as possible... 1. Guice, 2. Pettway, the rest.

if Pettway can stay healthy for the entire season(translaion: if Gus can keep from running him into the ground) he should surpass Guice with relative ease.

Bama has the most talented backfield, period. UGA would be second, LSU 3rd and Auburn 4th.

Exactly the way Phil Steele has them. Nationally he has Bama #1, UGA #2, LSU #4, amd Auburn #6. Has PSU #3 and Oregon #5.

You really must have forgotten how good Guice is. It's okay to admit a certain player on another SEC team is better than a player on the team you root for. Pettway is a beast, he really is, but Guice is clearly the number one back in the SEC. And it won't be debatable at the end of the year.

Pettway is just a one cut, downhill runner. Guice is way more agile, way more elusive, faster, quicker, can catch better, and just a more dangerous runner.

Doesn't mean he's better. Fournette was amazing in a horrific offense outside of Bama game. He'd have won a heisman and championships there I'm sure.

Bruh, Fournette was 1-2 against Bert and never had 100 yards in any of those 3 games.

GOAT indeed.
