Maybe that you can't judge a defense by how many draft picks were on it. Especially when most of the team is too young to be drafted!

The Total D ranked 26, 12, 2 and 8 from 2009-2012, respectively. This was at same time Total O ranked 112, 86, 86 and 85...a mediocre showing that puts a tremendous stress on the defense.

Well lets see wasn't the large majority of LSU's '12 D JRs and SRs
Bama had a 2 SRs and 1 JR who left and 1 who stayed (who would've easily been the top MLB taken, still shocked me that he stayed, his film is nasty but before it even got an eval he announced the was staying)
And the large majority were Sophs and some JRs

LSU had guys drafted in the 1st,2nd,3rd, and 5th rounds. Correct me if i'm mistaken. But Bama only had 1 defensive draft pick in the 1st? And the next highest position was in the 4th?

Bottomline: Check the NCAA defensive top 10 stats each year while they've been there and you'll see.

That's why I'm so optimistic this year. If Cam can put out an O that is in the 30's or so...the naysayers are going to be very surprised.
