How did you miss yourself typing in "YOLLOWHAMMER"?

I didn't. How did you miss yourself typing "YELLAHAMMA"?

If you are going to try and discredit something as fake news, probably shouldn't mess up the name to intentionally attempt to make it seem less credible.

That story quotes the same source.

Closest thing I’ve seen to a confirmation is a tweet from NBC’ s rules expert (disgraced former ref), who you suspect would have heard through the grapevine if it wasn’t true.

Yep, based on the original story.

quote:

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) permanently suspended ref Ken Williamson from officiating games in the conference following eleven complaints against the seasoned official and his crew during the Auburn-Georgia game on Oct. 11, sources told Yellowhammer News on Wednesday. “According to sources, nine of those complaints were validated by conference officials,” the outlet wrote.

I’m listening to Paul Finebaum right now and he is literally saying as I type this that this story has been confirmed by ESPN.

Maybe Finebaum is lying I suppose.

It’s on the ESPN website…

Your confusion implies you did.

I would argue otherwise. Why try to legitimize something using a claim as nonsensical as “permanently suspended”?

Only one confused here is you.

You asked why anyone would think a story from yellahammanews was legit. Since that isn’t its name, nobody thinks a story from yellahammanews is legit, thus my answer.

You then asked a nonsensical question for verifying their actual name.

Well, as I’ve posted, The New York Post, ESPN, and Paul Finebaum all seem to trust it.

And not only are they running it, Finebaum is has now said multiple times in the last few minutes that ESPN has confirmed the story.

Did he now? Well that’s interesting. If this story is indeed true, the silence from the SEC is very odd. Has to be more to the story.

I’m listening to Paul Finebaum right now and he has stated three times now in the past 15-20 minutes that ESPN has CONFIRMED the story.

Well, it would seem so.

The Southeastern Conference has suspended longtime referee Ken Williamson for the remainder of the season in the wake of his crew's performance in Georgia's 20-10 victory at Auburn on Oct. 11, sources confirmed to ESPN on Thursday.

People kept attacking it because they don’t want it to be true.

ESPN has now confirmed it, but that is literally breaking news that had not been reported until now.

All of the links in this thread until ESPN’s latest story - including the ones you posted, had been referencing a single source from the obscure Yellow Hammer News.

No, it was being attacked because it hadn’t been confirmed. Multiple media outlets reported it, but every single one of them referenced Yellow Hammer News as their single source for the article.

That didn’t change until just a few minutes ago.
